This book provides an interesting overview of optimization methods as applied to computer vision and graphics. It offers very useful guidelines on how to use the optimization methods in different application. I recommend it.

You can get more depth surfing wikipedia. Superficial treatment of many topics, few formulas, and no real focus on the intersection of the topics in the title.
