After finishing this book, the reader will have an undergraduate/early graduate level understanding of engineering math in biomedical engineering. Not too dense and not very much previous knowledge is necessary making it a recommended precursor before attempting to handle more in-depth books in bio-mathematics. Fresh graduate students, if you are afraid you'll be lost next year, pick this up over the summer and read it.

Saving my butt in a math class with a Professor that doesn't teach. Sometimes skips some steps (Like integration factors in Diff Eq) but overall does a surprisingly good job at explaining mathematical concepts.

Bumped from 4 to 5 stars because its cheap, small and light to boot. If you're looking for a math reference to help you out, this is worth grabbing.

Its book is interested me as a BME teacher; I found its useful but some time very easy and containing some very DUMMY things such as quadratic equation solution; its best for the firest year BME students with medical background;
