Most Helpful Customer Reviews

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Peter Derks on August 26, 2006
Rarely does a textbook of mathmatics seem to care about the student. This text puts the student front and center and shows how mathmatics can and does relate to real life, make that time and money. All the way from the algebra review to advanced integral calculus the student is nursed along with good natured humor and, of course, rigorous deduction and calculation. This text would be fine for the mathophobic individual who still should learn the material for their liberal education and a richer understanding of how society and the world work.
