This review is from: The Mathematics of Time: Essays on Dynamical Systems, Economic Processes, and Related Topics (Paperback)
Smale is one of the better personalities of actual mathematics. The chaos theory is very important forseveral applications , particullary in economy, phisics and biology. Smale made a theory very clear. The simple way the auctor talks about the more different problems is interesting for the students. Particullary, I have studied the theory of general equilibrium according the Arrow Theorem , which is a static view, and is important the relation with a dinamic approach.
