Computer Art in basic
This book has many interesting examples in it of symmetry and computation. I have been able to use it as a source of material in my computer classes. Students love the visual stimulation, as well as the computational structures. More complete code examples (particularly for the 3D part) would have been helpful.

nice pictures: you learn to lay eggs
Promises more than it delivers. The pictures are nice, but the code that the book provides and the explanations aren't enough to justify buying the book. A very primitive beginners book. Computers have moved on and left this book behind.
