This review is from: Matilda at the Speed of Light (Sirius paperbacks) (Paperback)
An anthology from the eighties, put out as Broderick says in his intro around twenty years after John Baxter's first groundbreaking collection of stories, and ten years after his Zeitgeist Machine.
Collecting a whole bunch of Australia's best writers, Dowling, Egan, Frahm, Sussex and the editor himself produces a high quality collection, which, if you ignored the really annoying rubbish 2 page runon experimental looking piece is really a 4.5 anthology. Could happily have left that out and expanded his editorial piece with more interesting stuff. Even with that, it comes in at the desired 3.50 average for stories.
Still, not much doubt this is a major Australian anthology.
