These are beautiful shoes. I love the look of them. However, I felt they do run a little small. They were very tight, too tight to wear. Unfortunately I'll have to return.

I received the shoes today July 27 (I ordered it last July 22) and I have selected (the very last one and USED according to description) size 9 black shoes. I was bracing myself to receive the haircalf leather and not the patent one due to one of the customer's review and the product description about the shoes being made of patent or haircalf leather. Imagine my surprise when I received the shoes in a gorgeous patent leather and shoes were actually NEW - not a scratch nor sign of being worn (tried on probably?). They do come a little too small for a size 9 but they fit me well (I wear size 8 1/2 shoes). I think it's best to order these shoes a half size bigger than your actual size.

I bought these shoes in the summer, granted at a terrific sales price, anticipating wearing them during the fall/winter season. With the weather being as it has been, today is the first dry day I have had the opportunity to wear them. Walked in them for 5 minutes and the heel came off. Now this is a pair of shoes we are talking about. And it's probably way past the time to return them, plus it would probably end up costing me more in the long run and isn't worth the aggravation. That said, I would recommend that you think twice before you purchase shoes from this brand "Matisse". I won't be purchasing them in the future no matter what the price. Also, it would truly be nice to have an email option for contacting amazon directly when these types of problems arise. Have any of you ever found a contact phone number or email address to ask questions when you have problems?

Be careful! The black one looks like patent leather but it was made of haircalf when I got it. Not sure if they also have black one in patent leather in real.
