Grown in Galicia, in the Northwestern part of Spain, these organic chestnuts by Matiz are a nutritious addition to soups, salads or desserts. Lower in calories and fat than other nuts, these sweet, moist chestnuts are peeled, cooked and ready to eat. Naturally rich in vitamins and protein, chestnuts are a great addition to stuffing for your next holiday meal. Try them quartered and served over a green salad with blue cheese, apples and a sherry vinaigrette. Or keep a package of them in the refrigerator on hand when you need a healthy, low-fat snack.
