About the Author
Jim won the grand prize of Writers of the Future in 1990 for his story "Georgi," and appeared in volume seven of the Writers of the Future anthology. Since then he has sold stories to several magazines represented in this book, and has written six novels. His latest novel, The Creators, is the third book in the SHANJI trilogy. All of his books are also on audio tape.
His wife Gail is a costumer, drummer, and healing dancer. They are active participants in science fiction conventions in the Northwest and elsewhere, and live in Spokane, Washington. Jim is a retired dean and physics professor at Eastern Washington University. His research areas were in molecular biophysics and superconductivity.
