From the Manufacturer
This 7-1/4-inch, 36-tooth combination blade provides fast, smooth cuts with less drag and less waste. This hand-tensioned and balanced blade has a 54 Rockwell hardness plate and C-9 (94 Diamond hardness) carbide for excellent performance and durability. By using quality materials to make a non-brittle plate that is harder than that of other blades, Matsushita blades are less apt to fracture. Having carbide teeth with C-9 (94 Diamond) hardness also means this blade will last longer than other blades. Unlike most blades which are only top ground, Matsushita utilizes a unique three-step grinding process to bevel the top and face of the tooth. This results in excellent smoothness with little, if any tearing, chipping, or feathering of the cut stock. Combination blades are primarily designed for cutting cross-grain in soft and medium hardwoods and plywoods. They are not recommended where more than 10% of the work is ripping. Matsushita thin kerf blades are highly durable and provide fast, smooth cuts with less drag and less waste.
