MATT & KIM are the real retro deal! While their upbeat dancepop is modern, their ethic is straight outta the early '80s. They tour constantly, eschew clubs for warehouses and basements, and even encourage crowd surfing. Matt & Kim are a keyboard-driven power pop duo based out of Brooklyn, New York. Made up of Matt Johnson and Kim Schifino. A winner for fans of MATES OF STATE, THE LITTLE ONES, THE DECEMBERISTS, & THE GO! TEAM. your cat just got hit by a car? no problem, just one track of of this album will have you dancing around the room like a cracked out kangaroo.

Brooklyn based Matt and Kim have an amazing abilitiy to get your body movin in ways you never thought possible.

do yourself and everyone else around you a favor and buy this CD, and if you have the chance see them live, you won't stop dancing for weeks.

Saw them at Bonnaroo 2011, What a live show. Kim is a hard working drummer, who puts on a tremendous show. The music makes you want to get up and move.
