I didn't want to fork out $100 for a motorcycle helmet so I resorted to utilizing Amazon's filter functions to find the least expensive yet DOT-approved helmet. This model fit the bill!

Before you purchase do yourself a favor and look up the helmet sizing chart on I-volution's website or eBay store. Had I not done so and measured my head, I would've chosen the large and regretted doing so. I got the X-Large...the helmet fits snug but does not "rip my ears off" or hurt to put on or take off (like the guy below). All sizes are the same price so might as well get a bigger helmet if you have a bigger head! I like the built-in vents...should help to keep my head cool during the summer. Helmet is matte black. Carrying bag is nice but my favorite point was the TWO included visors...one clear and one smoked/tinted. Perfect for day or night riding!

Only complaint would be that you have to make sure to hold the side straps (particularly left side) firmly when you put on the helmet, otherwise they will go up into the helmet and no luck putting the chin strap on. Of course, this could be just because the helmet is new.

Got it and was very impressed with the design, look and feel of the helmet. I paid $40 after tax and couldn't be happier.

I was actually surprised at the quality of this helmet due to it's price point. I was looking for head protection for lower speed ATV(mini-bike)usage, and this appeared to fit the bill perfectly. Once I opened it up I found it was even better than expected. The finish is smooth, and flawless. The interior padding is comfortable, and well affixed. There is even a small closeable air vent on the front that I wasn't aware was there when I made the purchase. BONUS! It's really a surprisingly comfortable helmet even with my big head. (purchased XL)

I was a little concerned about swapping the shields, because some reviewers have claimed that it's difficult. This however was not my experience with the process. The instructions are very simple. The clear and tinted use different brackets that affix to the helmet using a phillips head screw. They look like they would use the same bracket, and while the design is the same, the spacing is different. You MUST switch the brackets to switch the face shields. It's an easy process if you read the directions that are on the face shield.

***I would personally not use this helmet for motorcycles, but for <50mph usage I think it will work perfectly.***

The price is right, it fits fine, and looks pretty good. Who knows how well it really works until you go over the bars and land on your head, but I am happy with the purchase overall.

This helmet works great. There's only one problem I faced. When driving at speeds above 30 MPH there's a draft coming between the top of the visor and the helmet. I solved this by putting door sealing strip in where it would contact. When I did this, then I realized my breath created impenetrable fog in the mask(at least in cold weather). To solve this, I simply leave the visor open a quarter inch.

The helmet I purchased is truley above product for it's price. I looked around and for the same helmet the run about $90- $120 in the stores.

I CANNOT believe that the helmet arrived 2 DAYS AFTER I made the order! Amazingly fast delivery! Amazon got the Estimated Delivery wrong...being wrong has never been sweeter.

The helmet was great for the price. Nothing broken, nothing missing. There's a big bubble wrap inside the box...that's about a half-hour of bubble popping delight for me. Helmet bag included! I wasn't expecting that..I guess they're just awesome like that. The bag can be easily ripped in half though...

The visor that came along is also in perfect condition. No scratches or anything. Putting it on is such a hassle though... I spent 15 minutes trying and crying, but when I finally managed to put it on, the reward is as heavenly as an episode of Spongebob (Yeah, I still like that cheese-head).

Didn't extensively test the airflow yet, although I can feel air coming in when I'm walking, and running around with it.

The strap is one thing I should point out. I can't see it, so I have to feel my way around it. It takes some work, but it's doable.

I have a L/XL hat size, so I figured a large should be enough. It fits my head. My ears are being pulled along the helmet, but it's not ripping my ears off. I think it's a perfect fit. Any smaller would definitely rip my ears, along with parts of my face.

The helmet is OK,for the price,but remember,you get what you pay for.Face shield is supposed to be easy to get on and off,the track system that allows the install and removal is difficult to operate,applying to much pressure could break the track.also,the fastener is hard to buckle because you cant see what your doing.Do yourself a favor and spend more on a helmet,worry more on what is protecting you,and get something easy to use.Buy this for a spare,and use only if you have to.

I am absolutely pleased with this helmet. I ride an 80 mile a day commute to work, so once my last helmet took it's last fall off the seat, I decided to buy another helmet. I didn't want to go out and spend $100+. When I saw the price I was a bit skeptical, but I read some of the reviews and I'm glad I purchased it. It came with a helmet bag and 2 visors.

The visors are easy to get on and off. Also, the smoked screen is not so tinted to where you can't use it at night. I just went out for a night-ride and I could see just fine. I'm keeping the smoked screen on permanently. The helmet is a clean looking flat black, and has two vents up top and one in the front. It also has a sleek line in the back and the exiting ports for the vents look great.

I ordered this item yesterday at about 2:15pm. They shipped it same day, and it was at my place by the time I got off work the next day. I live in Southern Cali(LA area), and judging by the tracking info, they are based in California. So if you're in the area, it looks like they take care of you for sure.

My only gripe(very very small) is that it was a little discolored around the top vent areas. I don't really know how helmets are painted or what not.. but it looks like it was taped wrong or something. It's a little different shade, but I couldn't care less. I'm probably going to buy another one for the lady friends.

The size chart they provided works just fine. I just wrapped my headphone cord around my head, put it to a ruler, and said screw it... I'm a large. It worked out great. It fits very snug.

It's DOT approved, its cheap, comes with 2 different screens, and a helmet bag. It has my vote.

Excellent product, I use it all the time. It is just as good as the $90 ones, but it is half the price.
