The screen itself is a matte finish. The frame is gloss black. Its an awesome monitor. If I had to get a new one again, I'd get the exact same thing.

matte. In fact, I've got bay windows behind my desk, minimal glare, however I've got it slightly angled as well. Overall, best monitor I've ever owned, no joke.
