Product Description

Editorial Review

It’s important to note for Yu-Gi-Oh! fans that this is a stand-alone board game, not part of the main Yu-Gi-Oh! card collecting and dueling game. The rules are simple, but there are enough interesting twists to keep it interesting and fresh, with lots of room for strategy. Players--whose goal it is to quest for a magical pyramid--assume one of four characters, with each character represented by a game token and a card reader. The card reader is the most interesting aspect of the game, as it makes the value of each card vary by character; making your choice of character a matter of tactics more than which one you think looks the coolest. The game pieces all have nice detail, especially the character tokens that are detailed down to the level of facial expression. If the flimsiness of the game board makes it less than heirloom quality, that’s a small flaw in an otherwise fun and well-thought out game.--David Stoesz

From the Manufacturer

The first player to assemble the 3D Millennium Puzzle, wins! This game offers kids three different play patterns: Dice: Rolling the dice determines the player's fate. Rock/Paper/Scissors: A quick-thinking childhood game. War: A dueling card game. Each monster slider carries a different level of power which can be revealed by the game board's Slider Reader. The trap spaces enhance the random excitement of the game. Comes a 3D Millennium Puzzle which snaps together for the winner of the game.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of best board games around, November 21, 2002
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium Game (Toy)
My nephews, ages 5 and 9, are game board fanatics -- they have 4 different Harry Potter games, Pokemon Monopoly, Wizards chess, and now, this Yugioh Millennium game. This is the most fun of all! There are 2 types of battles with 4 different types of challenges -- using monsters, dice, and other games. Not only is the game lots of fun and fast-paced, but it also brings out different strategies depending upon which character you play as [that is, depending upon if you're Yugi, Kaiba, Joey, or Mai, you'll want to get certain monster cards and will go to battle based upon what monsters your opponents are showing at that moment]. It may sound complicated, but after one or two games, you'll get the hang of it and enjoy it. It's one of the best investments in games I've made for my nephews.

You'll feel like you're in an episode of the wonderific Yu-Gi-Oh! anime as you play one of four characters: Yugi, Joey, Kaiba, and Mai Valentine! You collect Duel Monsters cards, battle in the Arena, and try to win all the pieces of the Millennium Puzzle (hence the name of the game)! I just luv, LUV this game!! ^^ It's a must-have for every YGO fan!!!

this game was a gift to my nephew aged 6, he grew tired and frustrated as the instructions i received in the box was a half a page long and had no real help at all! sentences like, and i quote: "the other cards put over there" with no diagrams of any sort, how did i know where "over there" was for all i know it could have been on my head! the game is okay when you realise how to play it but i would be firing the instruction writer, and telling him to learn how to make sense, if he knows english! to people interested, seek further instruction on the internet, and good luck
