My daughter hasn't actually played with this doll yet. It's the only thing she has requested from Santa so we'll have to wait and see what the final verdict will be.

I did want to confirm what the other reviewer stated. I called Mattel and they told me the Princess Alexa doll went through a design change before it was released for sale. The doll DOES NOT drink real water and DOES NOT wet in a potty or diaper. The doll DOES NOT come with a potty or diaper.

This doll is gorgous. It took a moment to realize I had to flip a switch in her back to change her sounds, but as soon as I did, I fell in love. My 3 year old daughter has played with nothing else since she got her. Her sounds are realistic, and soft enough that they're not annoying. If you lay her on her back, she's quiet, so if she gets laid down, you don't have to worry about her batteries dying quickly. The transition between baby and princess is very easy.

I'd definately recommend this doll for any little mommy.

After a two month wait(out of stock) for Princess Alexa,I finally purchased her yesterday with my 5 year old granddaughter, Emily. I let her decide if she was what we had waited for. Emily was very excited to buy her. Have these people that package the doll ever had kids? It took 15 minutes of cutting and untwisting the ties that held this sweet doll captive. I was exhausted. We read over the details of Alexa and had fun making her make noises and giggles. A 5 year old can figure out how to turn off and on after being coached by an adult. Emily especially loves the burps. We took her to the ice cream parlor with us and let her coo and giggle along with her new mommy(Emily). The outfit is not as cute as it could be but she is a nice comfortable size for a 5 year old to cuddle. I think we made a good choice in purchasing Princess Alexa and hope she stays in our family for a long time. Linda Gonzalez, Sacramento, Calif.

My daughter recieved this for her 4th birthday and it was one of the things she asked for, it looked very, very good on t.v. , she played with it for about 2 minutes, it doesn't do much, crys and lights up when she drinks her bottle, its a better looking doll then one that actually does anything that even entertains a 4 year old and it was NOT worth the price of 30 bucks in any way, shape or form....

We bought this doll for our 4 year old.She loves it!!Also all her friends ages 3-5 love it too.She has a older sister 9 who also enjoys playing with her.

My daughter just received this doll for her 4th birthday. She hasn't put her down. She really likes the real baby sounds that she makes. My only complaint is the hat doesn't stay on very well.

My 3-year-old received her Alexa doll from Santa. She loves her! The doll makes the cutest sounds. Every time she coos, my daughter says, "awww, she's cute."
When the baby wears her hat with jewels in front, she lights up, and so does her bottle when you feed her. She goes to sleep when you lay her down, but wakes up immediately after she is picked up again (unlike the Miracle baby we have from the same company). This doll is a good size, not too big and heavy, and not too small. Right now, the baby doll is sharing a pillow with my daughter in her bed. I can see why this doll is very hard to find now.

I bought these dolls for my 4 yr old twins for Xmas and we just love them. I had no idea how fun she was until we got her unwrapped. she lights up like crazy and makes the most realistic baby sounds i've ever heard on a doll. The bottle feeding is soo fun. My daughters and I have played with them non-stop. We got the matching crib set to go with her as well and its adorable. I highly recommend this doll to parents with toddler's. Its the perfect princess doll for your little princess :)

I didn't get to see the television advertisements regarding this doll so I didn't have much expectations. My 4 year old would catch the commercials and come running to get me to show me what she wanted for Christmas. By the time I got there I only got to see the ending. However, "Santa" did end up bringing her this doll along with one for her 2 year old sister. They both love playing with it. The baby sounds and lights are absolutely adorable. It seems pretty durable since my 2 year old keeps dropping her and she keeps on cooing. My only concern is that parts of the outfit would be hard to clean like the tie-on skirt or the "lace" sleeves of the jumper. I've already had to "wash" it once. I thought the price was pretty steep but my 4 year old had already told Santa at the mall to get her and her sister one so I didn't want her to be let down. She was quite impressed that Santa really knew which toy to get her. Educational wise the only thing I think it offers is how to hold a baby and when to feed and when to burp it. But so far it's a hit in my house.

My 4 1/2 year old just received this doll and the crib for Christmas, and she loves it. She is really a beautiful doll. Her body is soft and she makes all kinds of "baby" sounds that are not too loud to be annoying. My daughter thinks it hysterical how she can "burp" Princess Alexa!! I would definately recommend this beautiful doll to any little mommy.
