I got this for my 3 and 5 year old nieces for Christmas. It was a big hit and they played with it for hours. I didn't realize that it does not come with make-up. It does come with hair accessories and gel, but what my nieces really wanted to do was apply makeup. I gave them some of my old makeup and problem solved. If you are buying this for a little girl who likes to play with makeup, just be aware that this does not come with it.

My daughter loves these. She has a lot of fun doing their hair. She also likes the fact she can use the stuff in her hair, however, it can get messy.

The toy is just what you expect. It is two heads to style and put makup on. My little girl has enjoyed it. What make it so much fun is that two can play at the smae time.

My daughter is 5 and received the barbie heads for Christmas. She is enjoying playing with it. You may find using pony tail holders and barrettes intended for girls easier to use than the accessories that come with the styling heads. Also, the gitter takes a LONG time to dry, which doesn't have to be big deal, but is nice to know. I'd purchase this toy again though - one of the better versions out there.

I bought this for my daughter on her 3rd birthday. She loves it and immediately got into putting the sparkly gel in their hair...and hers...and all over the main body of the doll. She had a great time and loves it! It's cute and good value for the $$. It's not quite the quality I would have expected but I would probably buy it again if I had it to do over. Maybe better for girls who are a little older.

This toy was well received by my nieces. They enjoyed combing and fixing the dolls' hair and the hair stood up to quite a bit of brushing the first few hours of use during my visit. They jewels to decorate the dolls' tops where nice but I think the toy could have come with a few more hair accessories(barrets,hair bands, combs and the like) as the toy is mostly about fixing the dolls' hair is it not? I would have given it 5 stars if it had.

I bought this for my daughter. She loves to play with it. But we were disappointed by a couple of things. As we started to brush their hair- wads of hair came out. It tangles easily and is hard to manage but she still enjoys it. Also her other disappointment was the hair color. Although it comes in more than one color, you can't tell the difference between them in the hair. Really, it barely even shimmers.

I bought these heads for my 4 year olds b-day. I bought the two pack heads, so that she and I could play together, or her and a friend. She thinks this toy is great. It isn't a toy that gets played with everyday, but about once a month, she asks for it and we style the heads for about an hour, playing beauty salon. The set doesn't come with makeup, but we use some of her play makeup and just apply it over the dolls faces. We've also added some our own hair clips and accesories which allows us to do so many cute styles. She likes to apply the hair color, which is a little messy, but not a big deal. This is a sturdy toy, the hair has not come out or fallen out. The brunette hair is more wavy curly than in the photo and the blond is straight with a slight wave. We've gotten our moneys worth on this one, hopefully you will too!

These styling heads are such a waste of money. I bought this for my two girls for Christmas. They've only played with these once so far and have not asked for them again. I'm 40 years old and used to have one of these Barbie heads when I was a young girl. They have not improved them at all in the last 30 years. The hair came tangled out of the box and when I brushed the hair, it fell out everywhere. SAVE YOUR MONEY - NOT WORTH THE $45 THAT I PAID.

This is one of the worst toys I have ever purchased. There is absolutely NO way to brush or comb the hair -- it is too tangled and untangling it only causes it to fall out. In addition, both heads are attached to the box with a plastic 'tag holder' that comes out of each head -- it is absolutely impossible to remove this holder and there is no choice but to cut it, leaving a sharp end which could easily hurt a child. What a giant rip-off.
