Starring Barbie in KING KONG is a great addition to the Pop Culture Series. I think this could be the start of something really big if she continues to 'star' in other Hollywood Classics. Her new facial mold/sculpt is quite interesting - the shocked or scared look has been achieved without making her look too "shocked" !
The packaging/display is really great! Hope Mattel continues the trend with follow-ups like Bride of Frankenstein or a Dracula Flick or even Jane from the Tarzan Series! There were many heroines that Barbie would be perfect to portray!
Kitty West could make a great role for Barbie too!
Keep up the good work Mattel...those creative juices too!

I finally got the BARBIE "KING KONG" blonde doll. It is a
sensational Hollywood movie star doll. Her face has a sexy
and beautiful but scared look. Her eyes are wide open! Her
lips looks like actress JEAN HARLOW. Earrings, really get
sparkle attention and dangle. Her gown is pink and tight
form fitting. Wow! But the gown is sewn on and you can't
remove it to wash it if it gets dirty, and strangely there
are wrinkles sewn to the skirt of the dress which is flimsy
thin and wind-tossed. ---- The doll itself is sensational,
beautiful, and more than worth getting. For the face alone!!!!
This is a collector's item as much as Marilyn Monroe or Elvis
Presley or James Dean dolls made by MATTEL. There is something
innocent about this doll's face too. She is a perfect Hollywood
heroine who needs to be rescued. The actress would be proud of
