4.0 out of 5 stars A Fun Addition To The Barbie World
It's official, today my little girl will turn four. With that in mind, you can imagine how excited she was to finally get the "Barbie" Elina Doll with light-up wings.

I hate to say it, but as a male adult who is almost thirty, I even find this doll to be pretty cool. First of all, the doll's wings light up via the use of fiber optic lighting much like that...

1.0 out of 5 stars Has sharp wings
My 3 1/2 year old daughter loves this Barbie; but the wings are very sharp and she has gotten cut two times. Be careful.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Fun Addition To The Barbie World, June 2, 2005

It's official, today my little girl will turn four. With that in mind, you can imagine how excited she was to finally get the "Barbie" Elina Doll with light-up wings.

I hate to say it, but as a male adult who is almost thirty, I even find this doll to be pretty cool. First of all, the doll's wings light up via the use of fiber optic lighting much like that found on miniature Christmas trees. By pressing a button on her back, her wings flicker to life. She also comes with a little blue guy. I don't know his name, but I'm sure he's in the "Fairytopia" movie. We have that as well, but I haven't watched it yet.

Here's where I really get embarassed. This doll has some really cool boots that look to be made out of vines. They go all the way up to Elina's knees. She also has flowers "tattooed" all over her arms and legs.

In short, this is a really colorful doll that I'm sure any young girl(and some of us older dudes, too) would really enjoy. It's a sure hit with your young ones!

My daughter LOVES this Barbie. She plays with Elina more than any of her other Barbies. I was afraid that the wings would be flimsy, but they have been durable and show no signs of breaking after several months of play.
She loves it so much, that she's decided she wants to be Elina for Halloween this year!

5.0 out of 5 stars The most beautiful doll in the playline so far!!!, February 4, 2005
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Barbie Fairytopia Elina Doll (Toy)
I've been collecting the majority of the fairytopia dolls and this one is exquisite! Her pale pink costume is covered with glitter, and her skirt is made of yellow/pink rose petals with pink lace underneath. She also has sparkly tattoos on her arms, exotic makeup, and emerald green eyes with rooted lashes. Best of all, her wings are made of reinforced fiber-optics that alternate between red and yellow when a button is pressed on her back! (Batteries are replaceable.) I suspect that playing harshly with the doll might damage her wings, but they are fairly sturdy. I highly recommend this doll to anyone, adult or child, that has enjoyed the other fairytopia dolls!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Most Beautiful Fairy, June 25, 2005

Elina is just gorgeous! Her pretty pink sparkly top is strapless, and her pink flower skirt is enchanting with glitter! She has lime green boots like vines that go up to her legs. Bibble is cute! Elina is not ugly like one person who wrote a review said. Don't listen to her. Listen to me. You don't even need the string to make her wings light up because there is a button on her back. Hey!!! Maybe she can take over Fairytopia someday! :-)

4.0 out of 5 stars Kid tested and approved!, April 29, 2005
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars

My husband and I took our 3 1/2 yr old niece to the toystore Barbie isle and let her pick any toy she wanted and this was the one. She absolutely LOVES it! She hesitated between this one and another Fairytopia doll but since pink is her favorite color I think she chose this one in particular.

I gave 5 stars simply because of how much she loves it, 1 star because it's not educational at all as far as I can see. 3 stars for durability and 4 stars overall.

I bought some of the fairytopia stuff for my 4 old daughter. She loves to play with them. The wings light up but that about it. As for any barbie My daughter doesn't play with any other barbie just her fairytopia ones. I am planning on buying her some more to go with the ones she already has. I am happy with barbie fairytopia doll.
