During 2007, I like many others was unable to go to the San Diego Comic con, and there fore missed out on this limited ManBat figure.
For a time, Mattel was advertising on other figures packaging, that the man bat was going to be released with the rest of the toy line at some point, unfortunately it never did.
So I like many other collectors searched the net for my own. Luckily I snatched one up and have enjoyed it ever since. Mattel went all out on this Figure, including the packaging. The figure itself is the best mold ever for the Man bat.
First off very flexible for posing, Paint is spot on, and the detail such as the hair like material for its back make it all the better.
The packaging itself is awesome to, as it resembles a wild animals cage. Inside is a letter from Lucious Fox giving a warning to the receiver of this package. And the plastic which holds the Man Bat opens up to make a screaming bats sound. All these are cool little details.
If your a figure collector (especially for Batman villains or Dc universe figure completest) you owe it to your self to add this one to your collection.

This is simply a great figure, too bad its an exclusive than not everybody will be able to get. The package is so cool, but the figure inside is totally awesome, it even comes with a facsimile sheet from Wayne Industries

I have very mixed feelings about this figure.

PROS: The finely detailed sculpt looks awesome, and the paintjob is well done - particularly on the jeans. It's easily the coolest looking poseable creature figure I own. The 17 points of articulation are well placed for a wide range of motion, and are nicely integrated into the sculpt. Also, the unique packaging was a special treat.

CONS: The arm joints feel very fragile at the bicep and wrist. Overall I can't help but feel that the plastic used to make this was too soft. For example, when I took it out of the box and tried to pose it on my shelf, it fell over unless I leaned it against something - the ankle joints were too loosely fitting. Now I'd hardly touched it in five years, but then I noticed it was slumping one day... one of the rubbery ankles had warped (from the pressure of standing?) and popped off its hinge pin. I've considered gluing his legs in a stable pose and giving it a base so I can finally display it again.

If I were rating on appearance alone I'd rate 5 stars, but the flawed joints deserve a 2 star rating. I can't say I regret buying this figure, but it has been disappointing. Give it a shot if you want. Maybe you'll have more luck than me.

This is an awesome character. the box an everything. I bought it for my child. The only thing we are having an issue with is that the character makes noise on it's own every now and then. Maybe it is on test mode. I need to look at that. I would definitley recommend this product.
