Mattel Hot Wheels Starter Set Track Set

Very durable, has 2 configurations for the track. The motorized part is easy for kids to use and works for a very long time (on batteries of course). We never had any problems and my sons used this A LOT.

My 5 year old really enjoys this track...we've had it for about 2 weeks now and so far no problems and considering hot wheels recent products I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Anyways its a fun basic track that you can expand on and easy to put together.

What happened to hot wheels tracks? Does anyone else remember when you could buy a box with a whole bunch of track and connectors and create your own layouts?

The sets available come with a paltry 2 or 3 yards of track and maybe a bunch of hard plastic pieces. Only a limited number of configurations are possible.

this is an awesome toy....this is my son's very 1st hot wheels toy and he loves it. My husband likes it as well. :)

It is a very sturdy toy and the cars are fine on the track. The only problem I have with it is that where the booster is and the batteries, it is very light. when the cars come around to go thru the booster, it really shakes and moves around a lot and lifts off the ground. It does not effect the track, but they could make that heavier so it does not move around on the floor.....

I bought this toy for my son's third birthday. That night we set it up and he just loved it. We play with it together for about half an hour per day. He just loves testing his cars against one another. The biggest issue is that it is difficult to get two cars going at once. The other issue is that the track is very lightweight and moves a lot across the floor.

But I must say that he loves the toy and has fun.

My uncle bought this track for me and my cousin (about 3 years ago) and I still have it,the motor is powerful enough so the car will go around the looping. I would buy this toy if I were you.

The track is a lot of fun. I have 2 sons (4 and 2 years old) and both have a lot of fun with the toy.

The only complaint I have is that there are only a couple of configurations for the track.

I have not seen any expansion packs for this "starter set".

Luckily (for my sons) I have numerous hot wheels track sets from when I was young and we have been able to use these with this set.

this toy is fun. it is also somewhat noisey so when you are talking to someone while playing with this, it can be hard to hear one another. flexible parts are easy to put together. some cars don't work because they have things sticking out of them making it not able to fit through the runner. lastly it's.....

SUPPER COOL!!! AND SUPER FUN!!!!

Not the best of tracks but my son did love playing with it. Not many cars (other than the one that came with it) can actually make it all the way around the track. Only one track layout option. But this was still the best track i've seen from hot wheels in a long time.

This is a pretty neat race track. You can't make it bigger by adding more track because the booster won't carry the car further, but it is alot of fun, and the cars go very fast. My 20 month has mastered it pretty well and likes it too.
