Everyone in the fashion industry and even those who simply express an interest in fashion know that leopard is totally faux-pas. Well, the designers at Mattel did something pretty bold by giving the My Scene gals animal-inspired fashions. Let me tell you, their outfits looks infinitely better than certain clothes in the real world! Sometimes I wish the My Scene doll clothes could be made for real girls, I would totally own all their outfits!
This Madison doll has straightened hair for once; normally it's wavy/curly but she looks pretty good with bangs and straight hair, not unlike the Club Birthday doll. I think it's kind of funky that you can twist the scalp and have a different hair color, but that's kind of reminiscent of the Swappin' Styles line. I love love LOVE Madison's dress, it is so edgy yet cute at the same time! The colors work so well for her, and the monkey theme is cute too. Next I want to get Delancey in all her zebra-print glory!
Some people are wondering what age group the My Scene dolls are aimed at. The tag line in the original first series says "it's a teen scene, it's My Scene". Teen is the keyword. You're not a teen at twelve, you're a teen from 13-19. Girls under thirteen probably should not play with these fashion dolls because they don't need to dress like they're going to a party to flirt and hookup with boys. And yeah, some of their outfits are risque, but others are completely casual, like the earlier original, Hanging Out, Out and About, Shopping Spree, Mall Maniacs, Teen Tees, Masquerade Madness and other such lines. At least none of the My Scene dolls wear fishnet stockings and feather boas.

Pretty much the same type of doll as a Brat Doll. Nothing wrong with the item but it wasn't what I expected. I didn't think that the Brat Dolls were very good for a small child to own so I purchased this type and was surprised to find almost the same idea of a doll who might actually in real life be a lady of the evening. It was nicely made and my Granddaughter liked it ok. Not bad for the price.
