Ok, I'll be the first to say that finding an "ethnic" Barbie can be a task. Trust me, I know. My daughter is mixed and I like to have different "color" barbies and this one was perfect. She was so excited that it was "just like me and my hair". Great gift or just an extra Barbie to add to the collection.

We bought for around $10.00 in early Dec. '08. It was worth the price. Daughter wanted a princess, and that's what she got. It is a pretty doll, however, I was somewhat surprised when the doll's hair came out harder to deal with than our other AA barbie. The hair looks and feels coarse, instead of smooth and well-managed. Even with brushing, it can only do so much...
As the parent, and opener of the gift, taking care not to tear up hair when removing plastic, I noticed the hair grade. My six 1/2 year-old did not. She LOVES it, and it has become her favorite. |
