This is a great idea for a toy. However, the balls shoot out with inconsistent force and distance. It has an easy to use trigger but not great results especially for almost $20.

My 4-year old son received this toy along with the Matchbox Fire Commander Helmet as a gift. He played with both quite a bit. No, the balls don't shoot out perfectly every time, but that wasn't important to him. He still loved just shooting them out randomly during pretend play and putting out the imaginiary fire.

This toy does not work like it is supposed to. The balls usually don't come out, and when (if) they do, it is inconsistent in how well it shoots. Looks cool, but in reality it's a waste of money and will only frustrate you and your child.
