My Meebas Blue - Friendship

Bought one of these for each of my daughters ages, 6, 8 and 10. Took each of them about 3 hours of pretty consistent playing to complete all the levels and the things each opened. Cute little plush comes out and they were excited. They had alot fun and enjoyed the suspense of what critter they would get and the plush is cute BUT...now the thing is basically useless. It does not relock to play again just opens with the press of a button. And, the digital part doesn't play hardly anything any longer. I now see in the instructions only found inside the packaging to be read after purchase, that it says "limited game play after plush evolves". Well, that is certainly true. Should be more like "just throw it away when the plush comes out because it doesn't do ANYTHING!". So, basically you pay for 3 hours of digital entertainment and a very small plush for $20.00! Would have been a great toy had they made it more challenging, sold it for half the price, or even if it had the ability to be able to relock with some code so a parent could hide surprises back in it to play again or siblings could put in surprises for eachother. Great fun but too short a time of enjoyment, definately overpriced. So sad, could have been great. All of us parents need to band together and keep up he reviews so that we can save eachother some money! Thanks!

Let me start this by saying that my daughter LOVED this. She talked about it, was excited about it, really obsessed with it. She couldn't wait for the little toy to come out and spent a lot of time between when she bought it and when the toy came out thinking about which one it would be.
Unfortunately, that isn't much time, and that's my problem with this toy. We purchased it from KMart at 5 pm, she played it for approximately 45 minutes in the car on the way home. She then played it for about 20 minutes the next morning and then about 30 minutes after school. That's when the toy came out.
After the toy emerges, the packaging clearly states, the electronic game has "limited play value." So for 19.99, my daughter got less than two hours of play from it. She does have the little stuffed animal, but hasn't played with the electronic game part for more than 10 minutes since it opened. The stuffed animal is small and appears cheaply made. It has the appearance of one of the "small prizes" you might win at a fair game. I haven't seen it either since the day she got it.
Whoever came up with this is a marketing genius, however. You choose from several colors of Meeba canisters and within each canister color range, there are several possible Meebas that can emerge. So your child can't pick which animal she will get: it's random luck. My luck, my daughter didn't get any of the the Meebas she wanted so of course, she wants another one of these.
I would not recommend this to others for two reasons: limited play time for the amount of money spent and there is a chance that your child will be disappointed in the toy that comes out and start asking for another. I do not plan on buying any more of these.
I am giving it two stars based on how into it she was before it opened.

My daughter is a real science nut and received a Meeba for her birthday. She loved playing the games to make the Meeba grow, but was able to "release" it in one day. Once the Meeba was out, she never played the games anymore. She still likes to carry the Meeba around in her pocket and backpack though.

I bought this toy a while ago and I was very excited to see what meeba i would get. Once I got through the FRUSTRATING games, (some were hard for me, and I am [..]!) my tube opened and I got a Happiness My Meeba in a Friendship tube. I was really disappointed with this. I've contacted Mattel and nothing so far. I would say this really isn't worth[..]. Maybe [..]. The game graphics are bad and the toy is cheap and small. I would not even try to recommend this toy to someone because the thing is very cheap.

I bought one of these for my granddaughter last summer, and she loved it enough to ask Santa to buy her one for Christmas. I finally found another one today and bought it for her.

My granddaughter, aged 6, lives 15 hours away, so I never got to see the game or the toy, and I was curious about them. I went to the website, but it wasn't particularly helpful. Then I Googled it and found this page. I am really disappointed now that I have found out the game doesn't work after the Meeba comes out. I was planning on buying other toys to put inside so she could get a surprise again, but I found out just now that it can't be done.

This toy isn't cheap, and it isn't exactly high tech. If it could be refilled and used again, I definitely would have bought more of these for her and her brothers, that way they could try to collect them all and still have a cool game machine to play with afterward. Knowing that it is just a throw away game, I will never buy another. Now I feel ripped off. I have spent $40 buying two of these, when I could have gotten her something much nicer.

My daughter received FOUR of these for her birthday. Each time, it took under a few hours of playtime to receive the prize inside. When the first meeba "evolved", I was shocked that it was a flat,cheaply made plush--hardly the "stuffed" animal I was expecting. Mattel never surprises me at how cheaply their products are made. I really try hard to avoid this company and this product defines them supremely.

The toy would be more palatable if it were five dollars cheaper. My daughter will not be getting anymore of these and you would do yourself a favor in not buying one. After the meeba arrives, the huge tube is worthless and she has four tubes sitting on her dresser, collecting dust. She also doesn't play with the plushes--she has shown them off at school, but now has forgotten all about her birthday presents since the joy of the surprise is over.

She's playing with the better toys--one is a well made (non-Mattel) Disney fairies game. Kudos to Disney for avoiding Mattel.

My mom bought me and my sister meebas as presnet from her travels. It took us a week to finish mine but my sister took 2 weeks to finsh hers. It was hard but a blast.

I have listened to the reviews and was a bit skeptical in pulling the trigger on this toy. I am SO glad I did both my daughter and I had a ball!

My daughter just turned 7 and she played with this toy for 5 r 6 hours straight. Getting the Meeba out at the end was soooo cute!

The last part Meeba gets so huge.

I do agree you can not play with the toy after but after all it took to pull Meeba out she did not really want to play anymore anyway so it was totally worth it to me especially at the hours of peace I got while it kept her busy in my opinion it was worth every dime she played with toys less than the hours straight she played with this.

Its really a priceless memory I got to enjoy while playng a few games of Meeba myself.(I am by no means a gamer of any sort but this was fun)For about 15 bucks on Amazon delievered to your door I say go for it.

I sent as a gift and it was liked very much from child. No complaints, and very cost effective.

My brother and I both got one of these in the Fall. We had so much fun playing the games, we had Santa bring us another for Christmas. This toy is great for kids who like video games and stuffed animals.
