5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun for all my kids
My son age 2 got this from santa and has been playing with it every day since he opened it and loves it. I also have a 4 yr old & a 1 yr old and they enjoy playing with it too. Other reviews have said it eats batteries, but I have found that Energizer last much longer than the other brands. Also I haven't found that the track is flimsy, it feels like it would be because...

2.0 out of 5 stars Cheaply made and eats batteries
I couldn't believe how cheap it was made considering the money it costs. It comes with 1 car, Lightning McQueen. It is not a metal car, but light plastic. That is why it works on the track. If you put a regular Car on it (Chic, King...) it doesn't work as well because they are metal and are heavier. They don't even always make it around the track. After about 1 hour of...

After about 1 hour of use, friction from the car hitting the sides of the track caused the stickers to peal off of the plastic McQueen car that came with the set. Then that car didn't work well because of the sticky residue on the track. It also uses up 4 "D" batteries in about 2 hours.

I would personally be embarrased if I released a product of this quality. The only positive thing I can say is, while it was working well that first hour, my boys loved it.

Other reviews have said it eats batteries, but I have found that Energizer last much longer than the other brands. Also I haven't found that the track is flimsy, it feels like it would be because of being light weight but it has withstood my kids pullin & stepping on it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Extremely disappointing, November 26, 2010

This toy is the worst kind of junk. Do not waste your money. We bought this for our son who is nuts about Cars and we made a deal with him that if he was successful with his potty training then he would get this toy. It was a great incentive for him. He was dying to play with it and it helped him achieve a big milestone. Then the toy failed to work right out of the box. The switch on the motor was loose and it pushed right into the housing. The whole thing had to be taken apart to fix the switch. The gears that drive the wheels that shoot the cars around the track drift apart and the whole mechanism stops working almost as soon as you turn it on - every time. It was completely useless from the beginning and it could not be fixed. Our son was very sad. We were extremely angry. What should have been a big reward for our son ended up causing a lot of unnecessary unhappiness. Disney and Mattel should be ashamed of themselves.

3.0 out of 5 stars Kind of dissapointed :(, December 16, 2009

This was the only thing my 3 year old wanted for his birthday so we had to get it for him! After a few hours playing with it he started loosing interest. It is really loud, not very sturdy, you have to keep it on high (the fastest setting) just to get the cars to go all the way around. Batteries only lasted about 2 hours like the other reviewer stated and batteries aren't cheap... we'll have to buy rechargeable ones just so he can play with it! It gets played with maybe once or twice a day for a few minutes, but not as much as I had hoped.

It is a fun track but cheaply made. The track isn't very sturdy. My kids like to change the car's path to make it jump over Mac and win the race.

This was NOT an easy toy to put together. Some of the parts were very hard to get to snap together. This was frustrating, because it only held my son's attention for an hour and then he stepped on it and it fell apart. It hasn't been back together since, and he hasn't missed it. I really regret buying it.

My kids love cars toys but they could not get any enjoyment out of this.

First off half the time the car never made it around the track, rest of the time id jump the track. Then it ate threw brand new batteries in about 20mins of play. For something so simple is a pain to keep together. After the initial 20mins of play my kids never touched it again and ended up in the trash. Also will not work with the metal cars you buy in the stores. Gears are so weak need super light plastic ones that are so light they jump the track. So you cant win.

Feel sorry for others who bought this toy. As usual great service and fast shipping from amazon.

I have never made a review on a product before but I felt compelled after purchasing this for my son. Disney should be ashamed to have their name on this product. Does not work with the metal Cars and the battery life for the four (4) D batteries is 30 minutes at best. I would recommend not spending the money if you have any appreciation for quality. Shame on you Disney - yet another disappointment.
