Whac-A-Mole Arcade Game

I bought this for my nearly three year old for Christmas. She played the arcade version and laughed like crazy so I thought this would be fun for her. Unfortunately the moles only light up, they don't pop up even a little bit. Also a note to parents: the sounds coming from this are uber annoying. Bottom line, it's okay for a short while but there are many better toys out there.

Don't let the price fool you on this one. It is very well built and can handle even the hardest whac'r. The game is basic and allows for both single and two player modes. The heads light up to indicate when to whac the mole. The center mole has both color lights (green and red), so both players have to decide when to whac the center mole. Unfortunately, the game can't tell if the wrong person whac'd the center mole. Overall, it's a fun game for the kids.

My daughter thinks this game is dumb. The moles dont even pop up they just light up while it repeatedly says."here moley moley" Don't waste your money on this game. It is nothing like the arcade version. You have been warned!!!!

I don't understand why this game is getting such bad reviews. My 3 1/2 year old is enjoying this game and she is rather picky. Her 20mo old sister likes to try to play too, as do I!! We haven't had it for long but it seems sturdy. I don't find it terribly annoying. It is a very simple game though so I would say age 3+ is more realistic. Great for hand-eye coordination.

My 4 year old daughter received this for Christmas. She LOVES it.

Choose play 1 player mode or 2 player mode which is awesome - they can play it by themselves and still have a blast!

Choose different levels of difficulties.

The game tells you how many "moles" you got and my daughter loves give us the report of how many she hit.

This thing is DURABLE and can really take a solid whack!

No, the moles don't pop up, but that's what the lights are for and the moles do get squished down when they're hit. My daughter loves that they light up and has shown zero upset that they do not pop up.

The game is a little loud - not only the high pitched voice but all the whacking!

Great size - easy to travel with.

The only thing I'd change is the way to store it. You have to keep it in the original box (or similar) or you run the risk of losing the mallets. I wish there was a way to store the mallets on/in the game itself, like underneath.

we got this as a christmas gift for my great neice she loves it the noise is a little bit much but gives a child a chance to do some eye hand work and really will keep them focused.

I bought this game for $19 at WalMart for my 4 year old daughter. I thought she would love it because it lights up, makes noise, and she gets to hit things with my approval (so you'd think it has all the things toddlers would love!) but she ended up not giving a crap about it after about 30 minutes.

There is both a one person and a two person game play setting. It's easy enough that she could take it out of the box, turn it on, and start it by herself. She squealed with delight watching it and whacking at the light-up moles, but she tired of it very quickly and hasn't shown much interest since we got it just last month for Chanukah. She had more fun watching mommy and daddy play each other than playing by herself or with one of us. I've tried to play it with her since then, and she'll be interested for a bit, but I think after one or two rounds, it just kind of loses it's appeal. \

From a parental stand point, the mole's voice is annoying.

I bought this when the family was getting together for a holiday gathering and it was a big success. They was a line when I asked who wanted to take it home.

My 3 and 6 year old kids have a ball playing with this game. The sounds of the game can be grating to an adult after a while, but if it makes my kids happy then I'm happy with it :)!

Great game for kids and adults. learning colors as to which mole head to hit. my kids loved it, 2 yrs and 4 yrs.
