My daughter just HAD to have this set. HAD TO HAVE IT, I tell you. So, I ordered it... she played w// it once.... hasn't played w// it since. They "pee" on little pieces of Plastic, so you don't need to replace the "pee paper" or anything lol. The dogs are durable and the Barbie is cute. I personally think it's a little over priced, but whatever :)

This item was received when prommised, and it is exactly what I expected. Typical of "modern" Barbie toys, it is a little on the flimsy side, but it's as good as other modern toys in its price range. My 7-year-old granddaughter enjoys playing with it, and that's good enough for me.

this game is excellent for the development of feminism for girls and to strengthen relations with her friends and most faithful animals dogs of this world

3 yr old got this as a gift and her and her big sis had a BALL with it. They loved making the doggies pee pee in the bathroom sink. My daughter, however, insisted upon chewing on the little syringe bottle, so we can no longer get water in them (oh darn!)which I am not so sad about. The boy doggie that lifts his leg up to pee is kinda gross..I don't really find that necessary; after all, its not like they make Ken Doll anatomically correct so I don't see why they have to make a puppy! I gave it so many stars b/c my little one really liked it, I hope she will cont. to play with the dogs and Barbie even though we can't feed them anymore. I'm sure we can find some way to get that water in there someday, but right now I'm not going to make any suggestions b/c she already has a fascination with water.

Beware: the description states several times there are 3 puppies, ours only came with 2. The third puppy has been replaced by 2 cardboard cut-out puppies (one in Barbie's arms) for display/packaging purposes. My daughter & I were disappointed.

I purchased this for my little girl who loves Barbies and puppies. She initially had fun playing with it because it's not like any other toy she has but the novelty of the doggies that pee-pee wore-off quickly. For the small purchase price I'm ok with that. It's buried somewhere with her other toys but I bet if I dig it out, she'll enjoy it again, even if just for the day.

Although Barbie is always a hit, the little dogs are equallly as popular to play with on their own. They are just the right size for little hands.

Before I review the actual toy, I want to say that this is the very first "real" (in my 5 year old's words) Barbie that we have purchased. These Barbies aren't even close to the level of quality, detail, and durability of the dolls I had when *I* was a girl. So my 5-star rating is based on the clearance price I paid at the store (it's unfair that these dolls retail for as much as they go for; and dolls with legs that can actually bend SHOULDN'T cost more!), and that this Barbie has great clothes (easy to change, very ladylike outfit, AND she's actually wearing low-heeled sneakers!!) and super cute accessories & pets.

Again, the Potty Training Pups Barbie I purchased was on *clearance*. So aside from paying less than half-price, I also only received 2 of the 3 dogs shown here (the one left out was the itty bitty one with the two bows that "functions" when squeezed). This wasn't at all an oversight from the seller - the box I have clearly displays only two dogs in the imagery and the little story in the back. Also, the Barbie included in the set was missing her necklace that is shown here. Again, the picture of Barbie displayed on the box shows her without it as well. So, obviously Mattel shipped Barbie in this "alternate" packaging; whether because of cost cutting, or they didn't manufacture enough puppies, or whatever. Not a big deal, but if I had paid full price and didn't get exactly what I had ordered as it had been described, I would definitely not be entirely happy. But other than that, all the other accessories (doggy bowl, toys, plastic sheets) were all accounted for.

As has already been mentioned in another review, the puppy toys are TINY... smaller in fact that those little throw-away plastic rings and Silly Bands that kids wear. Definitely either supervise your toddler child (anyone under 4) when they play with this toy, or have an "inventory check" of the little items after playtime especially if you have pets and little kids around the house.

So after years of bucking the 50-plus-years-and-going-strong mother-daughter pasttime, I finally caved and bought my daughter her first Barbie. Considering all of the headache-inducing choices available now, I will definitely be more choosy as to exactly which dolls, clothes, and accessories we spend our toy money on. But as a "starter Barbie," this was definitely a great purchase!
