Finally: Mattel has created a playline Barbie which is actually posable! She's got bendable wrists, knees, elbows, of course at the hip and neck, and I think another joint at the torso. While the joints aren't real pretty to look at, this doll is exceptionally fun for my six year-old daughter to play with. She can sit on chairs, ride a scooter (yes, even in her fancy dress), make all sorts of fancy modeling poses--just like a more expensive collector doll. Plus she has a very pretty face, and her hair is just gorgeous.

Her dress is cute, too--and seems to be well-made. The little white "fur" cuffs are a nice touch, and can be moved up or down the doll's arms to create different looks. Her jewelry adds extra glitz--my daughter really likes it--and her shoes are adorable, too. She also includes a clutch purse, which is a fun little accessory. Of course, we've already lost it.

I need to add a note on the packaging: A+! We were able to get the doll out of her packaging without damaging her hair one a little bit. Her curls look just as pretty in real life as they do in the promo photos. Bravo, Mattel!

We've only had the doll a week, so I can't tell how durable the doll will be. The joints are all feel pretty sturdy, but they bend easily enough for my daughter to pose herself. I think we'd definitely love to add others to our collection.

I find this barbie to have beautiful clothes & hair & the granddaughters think this doll is beautiful. Her face is pretty, even though she doesn't look like the older barbies' faces. She's definitely a barbie doll & fits in all the other barbie clothes. Very popular doll. After the girls play, I always find her in the glamour car with a Ken in a tuxedo.

I wish all Barbies could be moved and positioned like this one. Being able to move her arms and legs makes it much easier for my little girl sit her on a chair, or place her in a Barbie car or play in her Barbie house. This is a great Barbie for a little girl who has lots of Barbie accessories!

I purchased two of these beautiful Barbies, to give to two of my great granddaughters for Christmas, their ages are 6 yrs. old and almost 4 yrs. Since Christmas is still a couple of weeks in the future, they have not received them yet. I did not know that the legs and arms were jointed when I ordered them, if it was mentioned in the display on amazon.com, I missed reading that fact when deciding which Barbie to buy. However, I think the little girls will like that feature, since it is different from their other Barbies. They are really pretty dolls and the clothes are beautiful.

I am a Barbie collector and hobbyist, and what we call "a kitbasher". A kitbasher is someone who takes different Barbie-products to re-essamble them into something they'd like. Often, I take a collector-Barbie with a model muse body (stiff, unposeable) to combine it with something a bit more fun - like the Fashionistas Barbie here.

The fashionistas doll is not perfect, but it's the best one Mattel has come out with in years. The bigger head on the doll is still very unpopular with grown up collectors, but the body is of great value compared to other poseable body fashion dolls, not limited to Barbie. I believe it is due to the body that these dolls are nearly flying off the shelves - especially now that the new "pivotal" knee was added to some of the dolls. The knee is such a big part of this doll, that I wouldn't buy it blindly online, as you want to know you're getting the new knee - the early dolls were released with a "hinge" knee, the type found on 90's gym Barbies, but the later releases have a ball joint knee, allowing the knee to turn into more natural poses - also looking prettier.

This Barbie Fashionistas Glam Doll made the perfect Christmas gift for my 7 year old granddaughter. She absolutely loves it!! And I'm so pleased to say that this doll was shipped quickly, and arrived in excellent condition. Truly a great buy
