You can't go wrong with this Barbie. She is a beautiful natural color. Her clothes are definitely cute and trendy. The kids love her pose-able parts. It's great that fashion dolls don't have to be "Bratz" to be fashionable, trendy, and fun!

My Granddaughter had asked for this from Santa in her list . I was having a great deal of difficulty getting it . I have no idea about the toy but I can tell you the look on her face was worth the effort, Thank you Amazon .com for having it. It was not available anywhere here in Mialmi area . I am told by her mother that she is enjoying it so I would say it was what she wanted.

4.0 out of 5 stars Don't really understand what makes her "artistic", but..., January 1, 2011

Oh, the first line of fashionistas. Sweet days.
This doll is beautiful- her accessories are fantastic. Her neclace is realistic and stays in place, unlike many dolls' jewelry. Her purse is also very realistic and very cute, with a little bit of space inside to hold a tiny something. Her sunglasses were also a very nice touch. Her boots are made so that with a little balancing, she can stand by herself. And she comes with a cute belt. A++ for accessories. Her dres...or nightshirt...is far too short. Unbelievably so. It's made from cute material but desperately needs some shorts, pants, leggings, ANYTHING!
Now, what makes her style "Artsy" I'm not quite sure...she is rather Bohemian looking I suppose, but she doesn't have the soft curls and pink bows that gave Girly her title, or the blingy jewelry, flashy dress and fab cuffs that glamorized Glam, and she doesn't sport chunky pink streaks, tuff ankle boots or edgy shirt that completely spelled out Sassy's name.
Still, she's a fun doll. Her only shortcoming is her dress....literally...so four stars.

My daughters enjoyed the doll but after a few weeks herv arm began giving them trouble untiln it eventually came off; other than that, she was a fun toy to play with and pose various ways.

This doll with it's new pivotal knee version is extremely hard to find but they exist, (and I wouldn't buy her blindly online if the knee is important to you). However, the Artsy Fashionista with new knees is a fantastic replacement body for much of the collector line hispanic and AA Barbies, even though this one is AA a lot lighter hispanic Barbie will blend nicely with an Artsy body.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pleasant Surprise!, September 27, 2010
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars

I wasn't originally going to buy this doll. I was actually looking for any of the blonds to use as a marionette for a class assignment. She was pretty (I love the face sculpt, the skin tone, and the make up), but I wasn't fond of the outfit. (It's not that it's too revealing or anything; it's just stylistically boring to me.) By the time I got her home and deboxed her, I started to actually like her. She was cute, and I was taking care of her like all of my other dolls. The thought of drilling holes into her to make her into a puppet became less appealing, but it was for a grade, so I pressed on. I tried to break her joints so they would no longer hold a pose. I tried putting continual stress on them by weighing them down with heavy jewelry and doing rapid and repetitive motions. After about two hours, I wore myself out, but not her. Then after another two hours of beating her against the coffee table, she didn't break--I thought it would be easy since she was really cheap looking; I could see through her arm joints, but she had to prove me wrong. This girl was surprisingly durable! She was just determined to stay in my collection.

After a couple of other attempts, I gave up. I cut the sunglasses off her head and eventually bought her a new outfit. Now, she sits on my shelf with my other dolls. Though she doesn't have double jointed knees, she is fairly flexible. She's the first play line doll I've encountered who could be posed in a scorpion kick.

If she had a more interesting default outfit, I would have given her five stars. I would certainly recommend her to friends.

This was my 9-year-old Hispanic granddaughter's favorite Christmas present. It's posable and very cute. A very welcomed addition to her Barbie family.

My causian granddaughters saw this doll as black skinned. They wanted causian dolls. I kept her beause she is beautiful. And ordered others. Please make the nationality of the various barbie and fasionistas dolls clear in your on-line advertising. Thank you.
