Maybe I was expecting too much, but this toy does not work well outside. It will move but just because the wheels rotate and kind of push it along, not because it's actually floating.

Inside on hardwood floors it works pretty well and actually floats along (you can push it and it will skim from one side of the kitchen to the other).

We took it on water and it moves around by floating on the Styrofoam embedded in the wheels and being pushed by the wheels rotating. It does bubble from the front wheel where air is being pushed out, but it does not float on a cushion of air in the water.

My take is that if you plan on using this inside on hardwood floors, garage floors or basement floors you are going to be fine, but otherwise you may be disappointed.

This is a wonderful toy for an older child. Both my boys(12 & 8) love to play with it.It is a bit hard for the younger(8)to control.But he is determined to learn. All in all it is fun and provides great outside intertainment.

I bought it for my son (5 year old) for Christmas, and he just loves it. Our house has hardwood floor, which is perfect for this hovercraft to float around, but it runs fine over carpets as well. We haven't tried it on the water yet but I have no doubt it will work fine there as well, as those three black wheels have big foam inside.

So far, the only (minor) complaints are: the relatively short battery life, and lack of any indicator on the charger (you can't tell whether the battery is fully charged or not).

I give two Tyco R/C AirBlade Hovercraft to my nephews and bouth work very well. Of course not like in the comercial when they cross over the water, that not really hapen, but they really enjoyt. There is one single problem and like in other RC the battery ran out very fast. But if you have and xtra battery you gona have very good time.

My son enjoyed this very much.

The craft was kinda messy with mud being thrown from it..

But quality and fun factor were very high!

I bought this toy as a gift for our 6yr old but instead the teenagers have enjoyed it much more then the 6yr old. The charge dont stay up long but its not any different then any other remote control toy you buy. We had an ice storm and I dont think the toy has set in the house but only to charge. It will run on grass it runs on snow it runs even on ice. I was not disapointed at all in this product. I just wish you could buy the rubber for the wheels instead of having to buy an entire unit. Since the boys got it at christmas it maybe has set for one day so for a solid month it has been going and the rubbers are getting a little worn from being used all the time. I WOULD RECOMEND TO ANYONE EVEN ADULTS. This is the first remote control that our kids have actually played with and is wearing out. I have to say I even enjoy playing when I can get it away from the kids long enough. I am going to order 4 more of them so that when summer gets here and we can go to the lake everyone will get one to play with at the lake.

really is only partially a hovercraft, the unit does seem to float somewhat on it air cushion, but the rear wheels are actually pushing it along, since it only works well on flat hard surfaces or water, I suspect the rubber cushions will wear out fairly soon. Does not work well at all on grass or uneven surfaces

doesn't hold charge for long. Is not as 'all terrain" as it sounded. Still, son has enjoyed it.

Bought these for my boys, ages 6 and 4, and they just love 'em. The charge holds really well for such a high-powered toy. They mostly play with them in the driveway, but they also enjoy running these through the icy grass. These are a big hit in my house. Be sure to buy different operating freqs so your kids can use them at the same time.

It's fun for open spaces. Our 5 year old really likes it. Steering is hard to control with any precision (even for us adults). So it tends to bump into a lot of things in the house. The battery seems to run down pretty quickly. Note the size of this toy. It is bigger than I anticipated. We paid significantly less for this on Amazon. It was $[...]at our local Toys R Us. It wouldn't have been worth that price, but it's probably worth the price on Amazon.
