It's a little hard to understand from the product description, but this set allows for a race between two cars. The race can be triggered by other cars connected to the set externally via existing tracks. So it's both a great standalone set and a great extension to existing sets.

My 5 year old really loves it, and I expect kids up to 9 years old or so to like it as well. The only reason I did not give it five stars is that longer term my son lost some interest in it, even though he will play it once in a while.

We are happy with this toy. Many Hot Wheels toys aren't so durable but this stands up to my six-year-old's play. We're happy with it and most of the other Trick Tracks.

We purchased this and another addition for our 7 & 4 year old. They both love it! It's fun and educational in that there are so many ways to set up the track and do "tricks". We'll definitely be buying more additions for X-mas.

Unlike many of the endlessly boring booster sets Mattel has released in the recent years, the Trick Track series is actually quite fun. Sure you have to buy a few different sets to extend the chain reaction of events, but I have to say, it's worth it (providing you already own a bunch of cars). The sets are very easy to put together, and are really well thought out, even down to storing them back in their reusable boxes. You can mix and match sets, and really experiment with tons of layout possibilities which can keep the kids busy for hours. Oh and best of all, with the exception of the ¨Power Loop¨ set, there's no need for batteries...finally!

Great toy, but FYI: as of this date, Walmart has this for $15.97 in stock on-line!

This item is OK--I won't go farther than that. It has the potential to be cool but falls short. The main pluses are that my kids (3 and 5 yr) still play with it occasionally and they got it 8 months ago. The minuses are that 1)it is difficult to put together and doesn't stay together; 2)there is really no track for cars to just drive or race on-every peice of track ends in a crash/stunt so it is a lot of dead ends; 3)we never even got the most expensive peice to work properly. So if you have someone who likes a lot of crashes, afterwhich everything must be reset, then this is for you. If not, maybe something with an actual "circut" would be better. We are looking for something new from Santa...

My favorite thing about this toy is that you can set the track up different ways. You can race hot wheel cars on it. I recommend this product.

This toy promotes creativity given that there are a number of ways that it can be assembled and enjoyed.
