I had to laugh at a poor review on this product. No, the Barbie Witch isn't ugly...of course she's pretty. When have Barbies ever been realistic or ugly for that matter? Haven't you seen/heard of Wicked??? Elphaba (the witch) is played by beautiful women on stage... So for those of you who are looking to buy an ugly Barbie... look elsewhere. This is a perfect purchase to a Wizard of Oz collection!

I absolutely adore this doll. She's currently on display in my house, broom in hand and ready to "defy gravity." The doll is wonderfully crafted, with exquisite detailing and the painting is also wonderfully done as well.

This is definitely a must-have for any OZ or "Wicked" fan.

Doll arrived today in excellent condition, thanks to Amazon's amazing packaging.

Now for the review. I love this doll! She is beautiful! Fits in perfectly with my Barbie collection. Just like a lot of people have already mentioned the Wicked Witch is a beautiful woman, she is not ugly.

I think this doll is a wonderful treasure for both kids and adults. The children would want to collect this series so they can play "Wizard of Oz." The adults of course would want to collect this series because they love to collect Barbies, and of course their foundness of the movie.

A wonderful toy for all ages.

I bought her Barbie as Glinda and Barbie as Elphaba and she is thrilled.

I call this doll the WICKED Barbie, even though she's technically from THE WIZARD OF OZ. She is much more like Elphaba than the hideous witch that always scared the crud out of me when I was little. -No crooked nose on this witchy-poo!

The pictures do not do this doll justice. With a black velvet corset, long, flowing black tulle on her [velvet] hat, a shiny satin Victorian style shirt and dress, and Mary Jane high heels, I actually envy her wardrobe! She even has a little velvet purse for her magical herbs, eyes of newt or... her black lipstick, maybe?

Her face is exquisitely beautiful, with a "Marilyn Monroe" style beauty mark rather than a mole. The only thing I am not particularly fond of his her hair. It's "fixed" in tight, ringlet curls and a "bun," so this pretty witch will never be able to let her hair down! But she's still worth 5-stars.

This doll is perfect for anyone you know who is into anything fantasy, paranormal, horror or just... beautiful and a little bit macabre or dark. Any "Goth-inclined" woman or tween would squeal with glee if ever given this darkling as a gift.

I would recommend this doll for girls/women ages 12 and up. Definitely a collector Barbie and not a toy.

At under $100, she's also WELL WORTH the "collector doll price tag."

i bought this doll at wal-mart,for an early birthday present for myself. i happen to like this doll a lot,because she would be a good display at halloween,as well as being a good collectible barbie doll too.i would not advise buying her for young children,because of the sound feature in her,however,she might be appropriate,for ages 10 and up.

this collectors doll is in excellent condition, although i bought it under a "less than new" catagory, it had never been opened or taken apart, the quality is very good, it's only educational value is historrical in that it mimics the classic character, albeit with a pretty face. the barbie collectors doll represents the "wicked witch of the west" from the "wizard of oz" and "elphaba" from the book "wicked, the life and times of the wicked witch". it made a very special gift.

This Barbie added to my collection, but I wish I had shopped around first, I could have saved appx. 25.00-35.00.I found out after I had already placed my order that I could have saved this money. The amount saved was enough to buy other Wizard of of Barbie's direct from toys-r-us.
They did not have the wicked witch, but I did find it other places. This was my first purchase from internet use, I will know better next time. The Barbie is just what I ordered and I am very happy with my entire collection of Wizard of OZ Barbie's

This doll is so wonderful!!! The dress is wonderful, it looks just like the one from the Wizard of Oz. The doll's face is green,and she's carrying a broom in her hand. Great doll. I can't wait to display her in my house! This doll looks good year-round but definitely is spookier at Halloween. I heard about this doll before it came out, and made sure I got one before they're completely gone!

Well I really do like the doll itself but I have to say that it really does NOT much resemble the actual wicked witch of the west from The wizard of oz movie. Why is her face so pretty? The wicked witch was definitely NOT PRETTY! And where is that evil grimace of hers? And the pointy nose? No this is not a very good likeness of the REAL wicked witch of the west at all. But for some reason I still really like it. 2.5 stars for the poor LIKENESS. 5 stars for the doll itself. I just like it!
