4.0 out of 5 stars a quick read but a good read
This book was a good read although it is very short. The book is well worth it though. It basically tells about a young girl who once had a best friend that turned on her because she found a new group of friends she didnt like. Her boyfriend also plays a lead in this story as the young, talented, fine, Hakeem whom her so called best friend is after. the whole situation...

This book was a good read although it is very short. The book is well worth it though. It basically tells about a young girl who once had a best friend that turned on her because she found a new group of friends she didnt like. Her boyfriend also plays a lead in this story as the young, talented, fine, Hakeem whom her so called best friend is after. the whole situation gets realy twisted, but in the end every thing happens for the good which tells you that not all sticky situations come off at the bottom of the pit. This is a good book for young teens who don't know about the outcomes of phonies in high school and how they should be the bigger person regardless of how rotten the other person treats them.Everyday life learned lessons are put into this book for young people.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Matter of Trust, March 8, 2006

This review is from: A Matter of Trust (Bluford High Series #2) (Paperback)
A Matter of Trust By: Anne Schraff
The book is mainly about trust. The author's purpose of writing the story is mainly to say to trust people even if you do not want to. The main characters in novel are Brisana Meeks, Darcy Wills, and Hakeem Randall. Darcy and Hakeem are dating and they think that trust is big factor in a relationship. Brisana Meeks is a trouble maker who loves to make people angry. My favorite character is Darcy because she learned to put her trust in people and let them learn to trust her. She also learned to forgive and forget all the hurtful things people have done to her. You can learn to relate to other people through the things they have been through. I would recommend this book to people who like to read romantic, suspenseful, and comedy books. I would also recommend this book to both male and female teenagers who like to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A 5 Star Book, November 21, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: A Matter of Trust (Bluford High Series #2) (Paperback)
I read A Matter of Trust by Anne Schrall. The main characters in this book are Darcy, Brisanna, Hakeem, and Randall. A main event from this book is when Randall got shot at Tarah's birthday party in the park. It was a drive-by shooting. Another main event from the book is when Hakeem had a track meet that was important to make his father proud of him. He came in second place, and his father seemed disappointed. I wanted to read this book because the cover and title caught my attention. Both boys and girls from 13-17 would enjoy this book. The theme of this book is "you can always have more than one best friend."

In my opinion, this book was sometimes funny and sometimes sad. One of my favorite parts of the book was when Aunt Charlotte tried to put the grandmother in a nursing home and made Darcy's mother feel bad. I liked it because the way that Darcy and her little sister snapped back and said that their grandmother was not a burden on their lives. Another part I liked was when Darcy and Hakeem went to the hospital to help Randall's mom because Hakeem felt responsible for what had happened. A part I did not like in the story was when Darcy saw Brisanna riding on the back of Hakeem's motorcycle and she was jealous. Brisanna was trying to get back at Darcy because Darcy was hanging out with Tarah and Cooper.

This is one of my favorite books. I can read it over and over again. I recommend it because it will keep you on the edge of your seat. It will make you want to read it in one day so you will know what happened.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Matter of Trust, April 12, 2007
This review is from: A Matter of Trust (Bluford High Series #2) (Paperback)
Wouldn't you like a book you can read and relate to, that helps you realize that people are just like you? Then you should go to your nearest library and pick up A Matter of Trust by Anne Schraff.
This book revolves around how junior high and high school kids feel. It in some ways helped me feel comfortable about things because I am not the only one who had problems. In the story the main character Darcy is having a problem with her boyfriend and ex-best friend. I can really relate to this and many people can. Darcy is just trying to find a way to keep her relationship together while still not having problems with people including her ex-best friend.
Another, reason why this book is so good is because its story line is great! In the story the author shows how people really talk and she uses slag terms. It's great because it gives the readers/reader an idea of the characters attitude and personality. Some books I've read are very boring because the people in the stories have no personality what so ever. It makes it exciting in A Matter of Trust because you know what people have good and bad attitudes without the author coming right out and saying. For example the author wouldn't say, "Brisana is ghetto" instead the author might have her saying something like, "Whateva no one wants to talk to you!". That is a lot more exciting then Brisana is ghetto.
Also, this book is part of a series so the author has written a lot already. She has about 50 other books rather then this one. A Matter of Trust is the second book in this series. The first book is called Lost and Found. There are eight other books in the series rather than them two. The book has 125 pages and is fiction like most of this authors other books. I am planning on reading all of them because this book is so good!
Of course, I loved this book and I would recommend it for mostly girls around junior high and high school. I wouldn't recommend it for boys because it's mostly about females problems in life. A lot of people I know have already read this book and it would be great if you read it too!

This review is from: A Matter of Trust (Bluford High Series #2) (Paperback)
This book is different than other books. It really just explains what teenage girls go through with their enemies. It also explains how your friends can really betray you by doing things that uupset you. This book was about how a young grade school girl (Dracy) got betrayed from her x-friend (Brisona) when Brisona tried to take Darcy's boyfriend (Hakeem). Hakeem is a good student and smart but when he gets in front of a lot of people to do a report then he gets nervous and begins to stutter. That is why all the kids make fun of him and call him dumb. Brisona doesn't really like Hakeem though. She just wants to get back at Darcy for becoming bestfriends with 2 other you young grade school kids who go by the name of Tarah and Cooper. There was a talent show coming up and Darcy encouraged Hakeem to join the talent show because when he was a beutiful singer and guitar player. She also encouraged him because when he sung he did not stutter. So he said that he would do it if Darcy would do it to.

But she finnaly lets her dad back in her life, after have a nice dinner with him and a really nice place. but in the end it is so good well i guess that it would probley be a bad thing for me to tell you what happens in the end of the book. 3.0 out of 5 stars A Matter of Trust, October 20, 2011
The book A Matter of Trust is about a girl name Darcy Wills, her botfriend Hakeem Randall, her friends and her ex-bestfriend Brisana Meeks. Dacry and Brisana were bestfriends until they started going to Bluford High School. Darcy started hanging with people that Brisana didn't like, so Brisana stopped talking to Darcy. Darcy's new friends are named Tarah Carson and Cooper Hodden. Hakeem is going through some struggles because he gets picked on everyday because of his studdering problem. Even though he gets picked on he has good friends to help him get through it.
Later on in the book Darcy learns that Brisana is after her boyfriend, Hakeem Randall. Darcy knows she must do something, but what? Darcy then realizes that she has to choose her friends wisely. This book also reminds me of the book called Keysha's drama because she had a friend that betrayed her just like Brisana
betrayed Darcy. This book was very intersting thats why i chose this book.

My favorite book is A Matter of Trust. It takes place at school. The book is about two girls that don't like each other. I like it because I like love stories. If you do then you will like this book. There are no interesting words, but there are cuss words which is bad. I love this book and I would like you to read it.
