Each billet is hand selected by a certified National Hardwood Lumber Association inspector, so you can rest assured that the bat will feel solid in the hand and will resist splintering when swinging at a heater. The bat is also outfitted with Mattingly's patented V-Grip handle technology, which aligns the grain perfectly for a solid hit every time. Other details include a 2-1/4-inch barrel, a post-catalyzed black varnish, and a 15/16-inch handle diameter. The V-Grip youth ash bat comes in four lengths: 28, 29, 30, and 31 inches.
