Flavor Name: Organic Island Mango
I wasn't sure what to expect when I opened this package but honestly, these are kind of odd. You get a folded-up sheet of waxy paper with roughly 1 inch by 1 inch blobs of flattened product on it. You peel the blobs off and eat them. It's a little bit sticky so you may want to wash your hands afterwards and/or have a wet wipe handy.

If you can get past that, though, these taste pretty good. I could taste both the mango and the coconut. The coconut provides a nice hint of natural sweetness to offset the tart quality of the mango. I love the simplicity of the ingredients list (scroll down the product page to see it) and I suspect the desire to keep the ingredients list simple was what led to the odd form of these snacks. (You'd have to add more ingredients to get them to keep a three-dimensional shape.) I also like that there are no added sugars.

It's nice to have a snack where you can eat the whole package and only get 40 calories. These are pretty high in vitamin A and vitamin C and low in fat (the 0.5 g of fat is all saturated and comes from the coconut).

I'd still probably opt for a piece of fresh fruit instead of these if I had the choice, but these have the benefit of being portable and shelf-stable (so great for travel), plus they're vegan, gluten-free, kosher, and organic. (They're also free of peanuts, soy, and dairy, if you have allergies or are avoiding those ingredients.) Definitely worth a try, and better for you than some of the other packaged snacks that are out there.

Flavor Name: Organic Island Mango
These are delicious, handy snacks that are enjoyable, low calorie and fat- and sugar-free. Because each serving is divided into many tasty chewy squares, it lasts a long time and makes the perfect take-along or any time snack. Thank you, Matt!

Flavor Name: Organic Banana Verified Purchase
These banana fruit snacks are absolutely fantastic. They stay fresh forever, don't have a ton of additives, and are surprisingly filling despite their reasonable calorie content. I've tried a number of flavors, and this one is definitely a keeper. I might slightly prefer the chocolate banana one, but it really just depends on whether I'm in a chocolate mood or not. If you are the kind of person who gets "hangry" (hungry-angry) like me, where you desperately need a sugar fix to keep your mood in check, this is the perfect thing to keep stowed away in your bag or car.

These are snacks by people who love snacks. If you ever liked fruit leather, or other dried fruit snacks, you need to try these.

Flavor Name: Organic Ginger Spice
I'm was on the low FODMAP diet (for allergy identification) when I bought this. I had tasted some of his other flavors and liked them, but since they had mango as a base, and mango is forbidden on the diet, I bought this one thinking it would be ginger based. Not sure why he didn't call it mango/ginger, but even that would be a stretch, it's extremely sweet, but not much ginger bite. So mislabeling is the first problem.

The second problem is, it claims on the front that you are getting one serving of fruit, and that makes sense - there is enough product to make up one fruit. But there is no fiber. One mango has five grams of fiber. It may be legal to claim that you are getting one serving of fruit, but if you processing method takes the fiber and (probably) nutrients out, you are not getting one serving of fruit.

I'm really sick of companies pretending to be health food companies when they are basically selling candy.

If he would market this as candy, but healthier, I'd be all for it. It is low in calories (if they are telling the truth, but again one mango has more than 35 calories).

It tastes ok but tends to get too sweet. I eat a lot of mangoes (happily, not allergic to them) and never get an over sweet sensation when I'm eating the real thing - something with the processing again.

Last, they're pretty darned expensive for what essentially ends up being candy.

Flavor Name: Apple-licious Verified Purchase
I was excited to purchase these for my daughter, as a kid in her class was eating it one day and she asked for it. We eat a mostly natural diet, so I don't give her the fruit roll ups or anything like that. They came this morning and I opened the box with her waiting impatiently for her "treat" to be ready. She spit it out immediately. I tasted it, and had the same reaction. When apple is supposedly the only ingredient, that's what I expected it to taste like. No taste of apple whatsoever. I think the workers in the facility that make this need to cut down on the patchouli oil, because that is what this stuff tastes like. I can't get the taste from my mouth, and it is horrible. Maybe I got a bad batch, because I see a lot of positive reviews. But maybe others just like this nasty tasting stuff.

Flavor Name: Variety Pack
I have been accused of working for the company because of how I talk about these snacks with friends. 35-40 calories and completely natural dried fruit. They fit in a pocket or purse. One package is as satiating as any snack and at $2/pack cheaper than anything from a vending machine. I bought this multipack and found my favorite flavor (Island Mango) and bought a box of those. I recommend this to anyone who's health conscious, snacky or both.
