5.0 out of 5 stars Longer and straighter....what a difference!
I was told of this product by my parents who had been told about this from a golf shop salesman....but they offered to buy it for me and they were clearly sold on the idea but I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first.

It has no difference with other weighted clubs, I hurt my back by swing it and sold it on EBay for much less money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Longer and straighter....what a difference!, October 30, 2007
I was told of this product by my parents who had been told about this from a golf shop salesman....but they offered to buy it for me and they were clearly sold on the idea but I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first.

Upon receiving the training club I noticed how heavy it truly was. I ordered the heaviest one I could (3.5 pounds) thinking i'm quite a strong player with a need for some extra weight.....i'm glad I did but it was very heavy and my wrists and forearms knew about it the first few swings... If your not the strongest player int he world then i'd say get a slightly lighter one.

Does it improve your swing?? Well in theory it is meant to smooth out your swing, get you back on plane and physically cause you to align your hands and therefore the clubface correctly on the downswing....causing muscle memory to kick in and allowing you to take this into your normal swing. In practice??? Well, I was astounded at the results. Maybe its just that i'm smoother in my take-away and down swing now, maybe it that i'm using a lighter club on the course and feel like i'm swinging a feather or maybe its all just psychological, but I can see a huge improvement in my driving on the course. I am now out-driving all the guys I play with using a 3 wood while they are taking drivers...ok so as I said i'm a strong player and distance has never been a problem but the other thing is i'm straight as an arrow and right down the line where i'm aiming, which gives you a lot of confidence to hit those trickier tee-shots and fairway lies.

I would highly recommend this training club to anyone interested in strengthening their swing and straightening out their shots. The trick is to not get carried away with power and let the swing trainer mold your swing and then take smooth strokes on the course ... you will clearly see a difference!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good practice club, July 31, 2009
By
When I first started playing golf, I had a bannana slice. I was able to aim left and play according to how bad my slice was. Against the wind my ball flight was even more horrific! I couldn't stand it!! I tried all kinds of practice techniques, none helped like I wanted them to.

Then I found this club in a catalog from Golfsmith, so I figured what do I have to lose, this was about fifteen years ago. I used it a few minutes a day for a while. Then I noticed my shots and swing started straightening out, and eventually turned into a slight draw.

For me the club worked great, I can't recall how long it took before I seen results, but my swing is in much better shape because of it. I still use the club to warm up, and being weighted it works on the golf muscles too, so you get two improvements going.

I started out struggling to break 100, and now shoot in the 70's routinely, and I have to admit that this club greatly assisted me in that journey.

Has been a help in fixing my swing so that it repeats (usually). The trainer seems expensive but I think it is worth the money

This a replacement for an older version that was lost. It is the only golf swing trainer I would use.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works, November 22, 2008
This works just like it is advertised to do. I've only used it maybe 2 hours total and already notice the difference at the driving range and on the course,

The grip requires the hands to be in the proper position and alignment to effectivley swing the club. The weighted shaft and head assists in loosening up the hips and back muscles for a more relaxed set-up and swing.

Molded Grip makes sure your hands and fingers are in the proper position. The weight of the club helps you insure that your hands are properly rotating through the hitting zone.
