This book is one of three volumes and ALL THREE ARE REQUIRED for a complete guide to a builder or named series of boats. For example, Morgans, Hunters, etc are in all three volumes, but not duplicated. The table of contents is excellent, but refers to the other volumes. The cross reference is very helpful. The photos are adequate, but not standard. The text description is basic and not standard. Some tell horsepower of the engine, some say diesel only. I am a yacht broker and refer to these books, but must research other books as well for any specific boat. Thes are great books for reference, but I would not buy them if I was looking for info on just one boat. Reference to one-off boats is good. No address, telephone numbers or E-mail is available for contact with the builder or a dealer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Source 0f Info in a Field Where Info is Hard to Find, April 11, 2000

Vol 2 of the 3 volume series. (Vol #1 is ISBN# 0-9642621-0-X, Vol #3 is ISBN# 0-9642621-2-6) To get complete information on any single manufacturer you need all 3 volumes, and for the price for the 3 that's a big bite, but if you're shopping for a used boat they're a bargin. There is alot of information missing (which could probably be gleaned from other brokers files in cooperative effort) but that said there is a lot here. Hopefully for ease of use these will be combined into one volume on any future reprints. Also I hope Ms. Mauch continues work on and expand these volumes to add additional manufacturers, models, and specific interior, exterior, sail plan, number of hulls built, and general quality of construction information for any future reprints (and I promise I'll buy and new edition). The other thing I think would fill a serious void is information on company history, specifically, who has gone out of business, been boughtout or merged. These are great books for recreational sailboat lovers and students of the genre, worth the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Profiles, layouts, specs of 400+ sailboats. Great book!, November 9, 1999

Full of specs, profiles and layouts of hundreds of sailboats. A different boat model on each page. One of my "most read" books. I reference this book a couple of times each week. I never seem to tire of browsing this one. I also like the spiral binding.
