Polarized lenses are most useful when trying to see through these reflecting surfaces, like when fishing, boating, or driving. Have had these glasses for about a year, and found them to be very light and comfortable on. Did send them back once for a new lense for a crack near the nose bridge on the RH lense. My fault for not treating them as gently as I should've. They put new lenses on both sides per warranty, and returned them quickly. They were with me in several types of conditions, in snow, highway driving, on vacation on Maui and Kauai, and have been the very best at glare reduction! Gently cared for, these are extemely good sunglasses, and feel like they're not on your face. Do carry your case in the car as the titanium wire frames don't allow hooking them on the neck of your shirt, or you'll have to carry them in your hand.

I used to buy a lot of Oakley sunglasses because I loved the style and look.
Then came along these Maui Jim's. I realized then that the layering of tint and their polarization scheme was unlike any sunglasses I had ever purchased before. What makes these extremely light sunglasses even better is that I can wear them even if it is slightly cloudy out. I always had a problem of removing and putting back on sunglasses with varying light. Because of their lenses I can literally leave these on for my entire drive. I gave this 4 stars out of 5 because although they are extremely light and easy to wear, what you do with them when you don't wear them is a problem. Being hinge-less they don't clip on to your shirt very well. And they also don't fold up nicely to put into bags. This really leaves you with the large Maui Jim case that the glasses come with. Aside from that I love these sunglasses and would buy them again in a heartbeat

Maui Jim's are awesome! These sunglasses are so comfortable-they are extremely lightweight and the arms stretch to fit and stay perfectly put no matter how much you're moving around without pressing too tight. They are extremely durable despite their lightweight design and the lenses provide amazing protection from the sun's rays without being too dark. The rimless design doesn't obstruct the amazing, crystal clear view that the glasses provide, as well. The price was very reasonable-I've seen them out at surf shops for up to $50 more, and they were shipped so quickly and reasonably. These are my second pair of Maui Jim's-I wouldn't wear anything else now that I know how comfortable they are and how superior a view they give and I would definitely buy again from this merchant!
