5.0 out of 5 stars Maui Wowie!, October 18, 2009
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I just got these. However, these are possibly the best sunglasses I've owned yet. You'd hardly know that you have them on they are so lightweight and unobtrusive. They fit securely and feel great to wear. They seem well constructed while maintaining that "cool factor" look. I like the brown lenses for sunny, hazy skies or even overcast to some partly clouded days. My activities range from flying, golfing, driving, beach or pool and casual wear. This pair comes with a nicer tough black nylon case with a quicker release hook clip (i.e. attaching to a golf bag, etc...). The price was reasonably good (about 20% off suggested retail). Go ahead, get 'em! With a two year warranty compared to some other brand name competitor's how can you go wrong?

9/11/10 UPDATE: I've had these now for nearly one year. I still love them and have no regrets. One small thing though. The micro-tiny two screws for the temple (side pieces), one needs tightening fairly frequently. You must be careful so you don't strip these though.

10/7/10 UPDATE: Unfortunately, I finally lost my Maui wowie sunglasses while traveling in Europe. I loved them so much I bought another pair (identical) from Sunglasstop (through Amazon.com). Excellent, excellent experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best shades money can buy?, October 12, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I honestly think these are the best shades money can buy for the following reasons:

1) Very very light weight (lightest aviators you'll find). I forgot i had them on as i walked into class and my professor asked i remove them for the exam lolol

2) Extremely resilient despite its light weight.

3) Polarized lenses make a tremendous difference, these lenses in particular though offer excellent UV filtration/polarization. In addition, it doesn't say "Polarized" on the lenses in relatively large font unlike
quite a few other optically treated sunglasses. A plus, as writing has no business on your face especially your eyes (restrictive down axis vision, not to mention ugly)

4) Very sleek and stylish looking with a tiny itty bitty logo (which is a huge plus in my book as im not fond of logos)

5) Made in Japan (plus for me), justifies its quality

6) I was surprised just how rich and vivid colors were with these, you will be impressed (very dynamic). I got the brown lenses.

7) I dare you to get them to fall off.

8) I've never had sunglasses that articulate this well (its flexibility moves with the contours of your face and head while stationary or otherwise). Thus, they acquire a factor of comfortability i've never seen before in
sunglasses (without sacrificing quality/durability).

9) Almost nonexistent pressure on my nose (no headache or soreness after about 9 hours of continual use). The soft nose bombs arch based on how big your bridge is and the end product of all this is that the shades literally feel like they're suspended in mid air in front of your face.

10) Upon removing them those red indentations, characteristic of the imprint of many a sunglasses' nose bombs, i used to get from other sunglasses were no where to be found

11) Saltwater safe

All in all, amazing. Only dowside is now i need to spend money to get the other colors ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL, February 17, 2010
Product arrived quickly, was in perfect condition, and had the sunglass case and lens cloth with it. I am very pleased. The glasses look good on my face. They are so light I often forget I am wearing them. The only minor drawback is that they are not strong enough to hold my hair back when I put them on my head. I have to put them behind my hair on my head and tuck my hair behind my ears.
