The best Maurice Denis art book,

This book is one of the best, if not the best art book for Maurice Denis on the market. Published by Skira in 1993, it is unfortunately out of print and hard to come by. Mostly in full color, the reproductions are excellent resolution and the book has many that cover most of the page. Why they haven't made an English version is beyond me.
It is an oversized hardcover book and covers the career of Maurice Denis, including rare art that he painted in churches, homes, etc. A wonderful book, even in French, because the pictures speak for themselves. |
