Unleashing the "real" Callie Turner!

Dr. Matt Sawyer isn't afraid to break rules. After losing his wife on a field mission, he thinks life is too short for red tape. When there's a suspected outbreak in his E.R., the last person he wants brought in is someone like Callie "By the Book" Turner!

Callie is truly in the firing line, but Matt is reluctantly intrigued by the latent beauty under her neat designer suits, and sparks are soon flying—in more ways than one—between the buttoned-up investigator and this sexy rebel doctor!

In The Maverick Doctor and Miss Prim by Scarlet Wilson, we begin with Dr. Matt Sawyer covering his friend's job while he is going through some personal stuff. Sawyer wants to finish his shift at the hospital and go home already. He likes saving lives, but he is tired of the red tape and angry at the world because of it. Unfortunately when he thinks he is almost free to go home he goes to check on two boys who are suspected to have chickenpox, only after he checks them he believes it could be smallpox, an outbreak that is seriously contagious and dangerous to everyone that has been in contact with the patients.

When Callie Turner answers the phone at DPA with a call about a suspected case of smallpox she thinks it may be a common prank until she finds out who is on the other end of the line. Now with a team being lead by a team member who was present on the last case of smallpox they are on their way to try to contain and find out if it really is or if it's something similar. Only on the way to Chicago hospital the team leader has a health issue and has to be taken to a hospital himself and now Callie will take charge of the case all by herself.

At first Callie doesn't know what to expect when she meets Sawyer, she hears all kind of different stories from when he was at DPA. What she doesn't expect is the immediate chemistry and attraction she has towards him, but she knows that will hard time keeping him.

Sawyer has been living in the shadows of his anger and pain since the death of his wife six years ago, when he was at DPA with her. He has had sexual partners, but none that took and kept his attention the way that "By the Book" Callie does.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Maverick Doctor and Miss Prim/About That Night August 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
THE MAVERICK DOCTOR AND MISS PRIM (Rebels with a cause) by author Scarlet Wilson is a Mills & Boon and Harlequin Medical romance series release for August 2013.

Dr. Matt Sawyer is a loose cannon after his wife and unborn child died. He blamed himself for their death. And here he was once again caught in the midst of an infectious disease outbreak. How would he deal with it this time around?

Callie was the doctor sent by the infectious control division to help contain the outbreak. She was the prim doctor who did everything by the rulebook. How would she cope with the rebel doctor who flaunted the rules and did everything outside the box?

And to top it all off, she was seriously attracted to the maverick doctor!

The Maverick Doctor and Miss Prim is a very fast paced and a thrilling story. I loved it, and once I started reading I had to keep reading till the very ending.

Highly recommended for all lovers of medical romances.

ABOUT THAT NIGHT (Rebels with a cause) by author Scarlet Wilson is a Mills & Boon and Harlequin Medical romance series release for August 2013.

Dr Evan Hunter is the unit boss yet he transgresses one night and kissed the very hot Dr Violet Connelly. Though they didn't speak of it later, the attraction was there just simmering under the surface. So when they were posted to remote South Africa with primitive facilities, they saw different sides to each others' characters and fell in love.

They both had secrets and baggage they were weighed down under. They needed to unearth each other's secret to reach some sort of a happy ever after.

ABOUT THAT NIGHT is an astounding journey to South African country where we learn the medical hardships faced by the people there.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Maverick and Miss Prim August 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Dr. Matt Sawyer is angry at the world. Six years ago he lost the love of his life. His wife Helen had gone on a field mission with the DPA "Disease Prevention Agency". Not knowing she was pregnant, she suffered an Ectopic pregnancy and died before the team could get her help. So for six years he has avoided most everything in life including his own family.

Covering for a friend Matt is working the E.R. in a Chicago Hospital when he goes in to check on two brothers suspected of having chickenpox. He soon realizes this is much more than chickenpox. Believing he is dealing with two cases of Smallpox he is forced to be right back in contact with the DPA.

Dr. Callie Turner was the one to take the call from Matt Sawyer and it will be her to deal with this rebel Doctor. But Callie is no pushover, she is a by the book, follow protocol, dot your I's and cross your T's kind of Doctor. She also is grieving the lost of a loved one. And while she has spent 11 years training for her job at the DPA. It is not her dream she is fulfilling.

Of course you are going to get two strong willed people butting heads but you also are going to get just what these two needed in life, each other. Without giving too much away I recommend this book and also About That Night. It deals with Matt's Sister Violet and Evan Hunter who both work at the DPA. But we get an update on both Matt and Callie.
