This book had potential. I really wanted to like it. The heroine left a lot to be desired though. She was too easily led to mistrust the hero by someone she knew even less than him. She had no reason to mistrust him other than the words of someone who obviously disliked him yet she let that cloud her judgment. Maybe its just me but I felt like she should have been a little more distrustful of the other gentleman than she was. I wanted to like this book and I tried but when she started accusing the hero of horrible deeds even though she had never seen him be anything but kind it just irritated me to no end.
