Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing is one of the most helpful tools to succeed in typing. Typing is fun again with Mavis Beacon. You play games, have assignments,and there is even a keyboard at the bottom of the screen to help guide your fingers on where to go. It really improved my typing, and I hope it improves yours. Have fun!

I used this product years ago, and I can type faster than most people I know. I notice there are newer versions such as 16 or 17, or whatever, but I truly believe this version is all you need to start practicing how to type and speed up your typing! The games were enjoyable, and the practice programs have enough options so I could practice on my weakness in hitting certain keys correctly.

However, just like everything else, persistence is needed. I did it every day until I was happy with my typing. Also, patience is needed too! One cannot type fast overnight.

This program is perfect for those who are willing to make enough efforts to improve typing skills. No need to buy newer version. You can save about $10 by not buying the newest version.

A friend at an old job showed me this program and bet me a latte that I could get my typing speed up to 40 wpm within a month. I was sure this program wouldn't help me because I'd taken a typing class in high school and finished college. After typing tons of papers, my speed was still only 19 wpm, at best.

I sat down and played around with the program and it was kinda fun. I tried a few exercises and games. I stuck with it each day and would stop when I became frustrated(no more than 45 minutes). To my surprise, it took only two weeks for my typing speed to exceed 40 wpm.

The visual representation of the hands on the keyboard broke me of the need to look down at my hands while typing and the games were fun. The graphics weren't impressive, but I wasn't in it for the graphics--just the latte. And it sure was nice to finally learn to type!

I fine this typing CDRom very injoyable and also a lot of fun I am learning fast and I dont have to feel embassed and I can learn at my owe speed.
