The Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing program is a user-friendly tool for each of my children, ages 9, 11 and 13. They eagerly work through the lessons and are progressing weekly, each at their own pace. I even enjoy going through the exercises to refresh my skills. We are a home-school family and this program is great for us. I highly recommend it for beginning and seasoned typists.

I woiuld recommend the Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing to all. I was a little in doubt when I purchased this item, I have read the reviews and thought I should try it. I went from twenty words a minute with at least eighteen errors Now, I am typing thirty-nine words with two errors. The lessons are
user friendly for all age groups.

My daughter used Mavis Beacon version 15 in her junior high tech class, and she asked me to buy it for her little brother, so he could learn to type. I'm buying a copy for my boyfriend, too. He can type, but he wants to type faster -- he's in graduate school. His first language is Spanish, and he has the option of having Mavis speak Spanish.

My daughter wants to play the typing games again, just for fun. Doing school work at home? for fun? What better recommendation can I give you?!

Item was just as described by seller. Kids were able to pop it in and start lessons right away!

I've used this with students for years. I'm volunteering at a girls orphanage near Nairobi,Kenya (Hekima Place for Girl Scholars)and also at the school many of them attend. As more of them have access to computers now, touch typing is a skill they need.
The games, visible hands on the keyboard and sounds make this an engaging program. Thanks for a great product!

I had an older version- I love this older (but newer than my other) version also- although I miss the snippy comments that you could choose on the older version "do you want to quit mavis beacon? well, you're never going to learn that way" he he ;-)

I needed a typing tutor for an older operating system. I use Dragon speech recognition for productivity but still want to improve my typing.There were several apps to choose from, and the service was great. I chose Mavis 15 and it works great. Thanx.

excellent, easy program. Great for the learner and the typist who wants to work on speed and accuracy. Simple exercises, games. Too many extras to list. Work at your own speed, even start all over. This is a program the whole family will benefit from.

This program is loaded in fun games and challenges to help your typing speed & cut down on typos. Love it!

Purchased this for my brother who was never trained as a typist, but who now finds it helpful when working on the computer. He is happy to be learning on his own time at his own speed.
