I have been using the Max Burton for a month now. The old problems with induction have been solved. This generation works instantly. In case you do not know what I am reviewing, this is my choice for an induction unit, portable. So the surface is glass and it induces heat in metal. I can heat a pot ten times faster than electric coils. I have nearly the same control as with gas.

The features here are critical in a mid power unit like this one. You want as many grades of temperature as you can get, This one has ten, the most available.

It allows you to set temperature by degrees. Thank you. From a gentle 140 on up.

I cook with clay on this burner because included is the interface disc. Unit heats disc, disc heats clay. As slowly as 140 degrees.

You can place this unit on any surface. It is light. If you want an extra burner, this one will outperform your own stove unless you have a 17,000+ BTU Viking like mine. And even if you do, it goes as far as your extension cord. Remember it heats the pan, not the unit, except after a whle the pot makes the surface a little hot.

I've wanted an induction cooktop for some time and this model fits the bill perfectly. It's easy to operate and cooks and/or warms foods without creating extra heat in the kitchen. I've cooked meats, vegetables and pastas to perfection. Being able to set temperature or time for cooking makes it easy to coordinate cooking of the different elements in a meal. I was especially pleased with the interface disk because some of my pots and pans are not magnetized. I was able to use my glass cookware to prepare vegetables and boil eggs. I don't regret this purchase.

I chose the Max Burton 6015 Portable Induction Cooktop because it was rated the winner among portable induction cooktops at [...]. This cooktop goes up to 450 degrees F, unlike the cheaper version which maxes out at 390 degrees F. I look forward to cooking without creating a lot of heat with my old electric stove in the summer time. At 1800 watts it boils water quickly.

We needed a small induction or butane canister cooktop; I decided to try this unit based on the reviews. The unit is slightly expensive, but well worth the cost. Using the correct pots is necessary, but if you do have the correct pots, the unit is VERY fast. Boiling water takes significantly less time when compared to our natural gas range. The fact that the device comes with an interface disk so you can use non-magnetic pots is an added bonus. The unit surface is one piece, so it doesn't look like any materials will leak through. The unit has a fan which automatically turns off after use. Highly recommended!

I purchased this for two reasons. I wanted to practice with induction cooking prior to purchasing a full size induction cooktop for my kitchen. I also wanted to have the converter plate for when I did get my kitchen cooktop installed. I have been using this non stop since it arrived. It is incredibly fast at heating liquids, frying, and general stove top work. I am amazed at it's verstility. My son has used it for cooking demonstrations and wowed the audience. This has become a family favorite. I am considering not installing an instant hot water heater since this heats water faster than a microwave oven. I love the temperature control settings. I can set something on 180 and let is simmer for hours. It is not as efficient with the converter however and you do have to have appropriate cookware to use this appliance.

We bought this for our temporary kitchen during a remodel. I am a fairly recent convert to cast iron so I have a few pieces, but not all my pans are magnetic.

For the pans that work on it, I love it. The only minor thing I learned was, I thought that cast iron was supposed to be one of the best heat conductors out there, so I expected my rectangular Lodge Logic griddle to have even heat on this thing. Not quite so, alas. It was definitely hotter just above the coil. I guess even cast iron isn't magic.

Still, I've never tried induction cooking before and I am quite a convert. Too late to install one in the remodel though - we put in gas. I guess I will have to use this one as a counter-top appliance.

It works so far. I tried boiling a big pot of water and though it worked, it did take longer than doing it on my oven. I used the interface disk and it does say that the heating effectiveness drops dramatically using the disk. I gave it 4 stars because it makes a loud whirring sound when plugged in even though the power is off. Turning on the power causing the sound to get even louder. Wish it was more quiet. Still a good product.

well, I wanted a gas stove but we don't have gas in the area I live...so being inventive and loving to cook, decided to try this cooktop...I am very pleased with it...heats water rapidly, and does everything I expected it to do...yes you do need the correct cookware and the Interface disk is ok, but to me kind of defeats the purpose, I might as well put it on my electric stove.

I was fortunate enough to have a few pieces of cookware already that work great with it. The only downside which I think was mentioned by another reviewer is that the very low setting is sometimes still a little high..it simmers a bit too much.

But, that being said I really like it, it is attractive you don't need a vent for it..and I would buy it again. In fact would put a induction cooktop in my next home, this is a good way to see if it works for you.

Product worked better and faster than expected. With the interface disk we did not have to purchase new cookware to make it work. Great product.
