Customized Firing with Attachments

The toy gun's sophisticated design features elaborate orange-and-gray detailing and measures more than 3 feet long with attachments. Strip down the gun for close-quarters combat, or customize it with attachments for long-range firing. The removable shoulder stock, barrel extension, and targeting sight improve shooting accuracy, and there's even a flip-down bipod support to aid in balance while shooting from the floor.

Soft Splat Ammo

The gun uses soft splat paper ammo that is designed for safety and performance. These small pellets are aerodynamic in shape and transform into soft tactical ammo after soaking in water for 10 seconds. Once fired, the ammo retains its shape in flight and impacts its target with a soft splat.

Unlike traditional foam projectiles, soft splat paper ammo is biodegradable, offering a non-staining composition for easy cleanup.

Shoots Up to 100 Feet

With its advanced power piston operation, the gun is capable of firing ammo up to 100 feet. The gun holds up to eight rounds of ammo in a quick-loading cartridge. A realistic bolt action lever preps each round in the chamber, while a powerful pull-and-release pump handle fires them away. With safety in mind, the gun comes with a pair of tinted mission glasses to protect the eyes.

Our tester found that the gun's pump handle often misfires. Similarly, the soft splat ammo is prone to sticking in the cartridge, requiring frequent clean outs. Our tester also found that most pellets do not travel more than 75 feet.

Still, our tester found the Shadow Hawk 100 to be a significant step up from conventional foam-pellet toy guns. Its sleek good looks and customizable design are impressive, and its unique ammo travels far.

This toy is incredible!!! It shoots so far... I actually think it shoots over 100 feet! The accuracy is also great, especially at shorter ranges. I would definitely recommend this. It's so much better than NERF guns. I have to say that I disagree with the other review. This toy is awesome!

There are days when Santa and I REALLY need to have a heart-to-heart before he brings some of these toys! Mind you, this is probably the favorite toy of the year, hands down, but honestly, do we REALLY have to have wet spitballs everywhere? They're on the fish tanks, on the walls, fireplace, you name it, they come up EVERYWHERE on cleaning day! I must admit though, it is pretty amusing seeing how much fun the boys have with this gun. Those things fly about 80 mph, or so it seems, and can shoot clear across the floor of a 2400 sq. ft. condo! So, keep that in mind when you're ducking and if your reflexes can take it! The ammo that comes with this gun has lasted, and lasted, and lasted.... How many cleanings and vacuum jobs? TOO many to count now and it's only been 2.6 weeks since Christmas! They don't hurt TOO much either! The ammo soaks in water and then is fired through the gun - hopefully the cat can jump fast enough! The only complaint that I hear is that this gun does not have a trigger - you have to pull it back in like a "cocking" motion, resembling some of the guns from the Civil War era. Anyway, I can't recommend this gun enough - the boys go crazy over them and is the ONE toy they reach for day, after day, after day..... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I selected this gun for my 11 year old son. I expected something more like an air soft pellet gun. This is a little different. But, we are not disappointed.

The gun has a long range. I'm not sure it would actually reach the 100 feet the package promises, but it does have quite a bit of range when fired into our back yard. It has a fun, cool look with an extender piece and two pieces that fold down to make it tripod like a sniper rifle. My son was impressed.

The pellets are called "soft splat." This was a little deceiving as I let him shoot my hand (before he shot one of his sisters), and it was still quite painful. I imagine it is not as bad as the plastic air soft pellets, but it wasn't pleasant. The pellets look like old timey spit wads when they are wet and come out of the gun. They make quite a mess when shot in the house. Of course, the plastic air soft pellets are a mess in the house too when there are thousands of them rolling around the floor.

The box touts "graduate from foam." I suppose this would be a step up from a nerf gun but safer than an air soft pellet gun. My younger daughter, however, had trouble holding it because it is long and has a "kick" when fired. So, I'm not sure how well younger kids could handle it.

Overall, we like the gun. It seems durable and has already been played with pretty hard with no problems. It has the desired level of "coolness" without some of the safety hazards of an air soft pellet gun.

i did my research on this gun so i was hoping it was gonna be great. i got it out of the box and nothing was broken or loose. i assembled it and it looked awesome. i tested it outside to see if it actually did go 100ft like the box claims, buuuuuut it kinda didnt. then again it was pretty windy outside, but none the less i was disappointed. so i tried it inside from one end of the house to the other-brilliant! accuracy-speed-power-fantastic! still i was kinda hoping to use it for more of an outside thing... oh well.

oh yeh, my barrel attachment is slightly (not by much) bent to the right. but thats not toooo bad.

overall its not bad :) its kinda like a 50/50 thing-you could get a really good one or a really bad one...

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
Thought this would be a nice way to spend a bit of quality time with our eight year old grandson. We set up a target, that we made, in the back yard. We were able to set up the Max Force easily and in not too much time. He is really not into guns and I was not trying to introduce them to him. However, I suppose, you could compare this to a dart game, like trying to hit the bulls eye. There is no trigger which makes it rather different. Anyway, I tried it first to make sure he was in no danger with this thing.....now it was his turn. After a short time he really was having a great time and was getting quite accurate for his age. We went through most of the paper splat balls during our time together and will order more. I will say I think an eight year old should have an adult around when initially using this. It is now one of his favorite toys and he has had a lot of fun with the Max Force.....I would not allow this in the house, you'll have more of a mess to clean up than fun. It's a great outdoor toy and certainly could be enjoyed by a wide age group...even adults, as I had a lot of fun too.

Before you read, remember that I'm 20. Me and a friend saw this on deals of the day for 20 bucks or something like that and had to get it.

As I took it out of the package, it looked nice! Dimensions are pretty spot-on and the whole thing feels pretty solid. For 20 bucks, it resembles a real sniper pretty well if you ask me!

Now, onto the functionality. The paper bullet idea is good, but I'm not sure if you could make your own paper wads and shoot them through this. I haven't tried yet, but if it doesn't work like that, it's gonna be spray painted and put on a stand somewhere. No WAY I'm buying paper bullets for 12 bucks. Not in a hundred years. It shoots far as advertised. I don't know about 100 feet...but definitely far. The one thing to realize before you get this is that there's no trigger. That's the biggest downfall for me. HOWEVER, there's a bolt-action reload feature which TOTALLY outweighs the lack of the trigger. You feel like a champion when you pull it forward and back for another round.

The attachments are handy as it can easily look like a shotgun or even an assault rifle if you use the right pieces together. The stands are good, durable. Nothing too bad about this gun aside from the cons mentioned above. If only it had a trigger....

That being said, I would've killed to have something like this as a kid. At my age, it will probably end up being wall art. Regardless, I say give it a try if you're buying it for someone under 13. They'll get a good kick out of it. Just don't get it for your teenage son. He'll probably spray paint it and use it for things you didn't intend. :)
