This review is from: Max in India (Max the Cat Series) (Hardcover)
I discovered this gem of a book way back in 1987 when I was teaching a mixed grade 1 to 3 class in Matapedia Quebec. The Max series intrigued the children who living in a small village of 700 people had never been exposed to different cultural content! Max did the trick! They loved the story so much that they began to write about where they thought Max would go next searching for his tail> They painted big murals and enjoyed every minute of the theme. They asked about different countries. So geography was integrated in this. I wish Adam Whitmore would bless us all with more Max stories.
