As a huge jazz fan, I dig the instumentals and can appreciate the project's potential. It's a smooth, laid-back joint that definitely has a home within my collection. However, as a Maxwell fan, I have to say that most of the arrangements bear so little resemblance to the originals that they're practically unrecognizable. Overall recommended if you're a fan of jazz instrumentals in general, but die-hard Maxwell fans will probably revolt.

This CD was misleading. I thought it was an instrumental of his songs minus his voice.
Did not like it all!
