4.0 out of 5 stars A fine greneral reference to an esoteric subject, August 3, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Max Maven's Book of Fortunetelling (Paperback)
Mentalist and mystery entertainer Max Maven has compiled an excellent guide to the unusual -- and yet universally practiced -- art of fortunetelling. Well researched (despite his contention that the Druids built Stonehenge) and written in Maven's usually wry and well-informed style, anyone who has ever wondered what "scapulimancy" or "hydatoscopy" is will want to have a copy.
