This is one hell of a shooter game. Max Payne belongs in every gamer's collection (well, at least fans of shooter games).

The story is basically about a cop seeking revenge for the death of his wife, and baby. The story is fast-paced, and gripping. Once I started this game, I didn't want to stop till I got my "revenge". The ability to quick-save (F5 key) at any point is a pretty handy feature. Each level in the game introduces you to new characters, and clues that eventually lead you to the main villain. The Bullet-time feature - the ability to slow time around you, gives you a definite edge in difficult fight sequences. The enemy AI is sufficiently smart and effective.

Pros:
Good graphics, gripping story, bullet-time feature, quicksave

Cons:
Somewhat short, limited replayability, no multi-player support

Other than a few complaints (cons above), this game is well worth your purchase. Max Payne is a MUST-BUY for action fans. So what are you waiting for?

Congradulations Rockstar games. I love this game. It is one of the best games I have ever played. It is the classic run and gun 3rd person shooter with a couple of twists. First off, as most of you know, you can slow time down, called bullet time. This allows Max to kill multiple enemies in seconds. Instead of hiding in the shadows and sneaking up, you, literally, jump out and blow the bad guys freakn' heads off. One of the other major aspects of the game is the story line. Its very intesting and follows the gameplay well, instead of watching millions of cutseens to explain it (yah, Metal Gear, I'm talking to you). Also the cutseens are done in comic book drawings. The weapons in the game come in great variety. Max Payne is jam packed with weapons. Ranging from berretas, to shotguns, steel pipes, assault rifles and more. Max Payne is truely a must buy for any gamer.

This is the best game I ever played,It keeps your attention, so you could be on it for hours, it is even better, however with cheat codes.

Played the tutorial, and then it crashed. Patched it with a fix, was able to play first chapter, and then it crashed. Threw it out the window, it cracked, and that was the most satisfying.

Well im just going to say a few words about this game.
First of all the game is great!
My faviorite part is when I can do the matrix.
The movies are not so great, because they tell the story in a comic or something.
But I dont care.
Weapons are great, and I admit the game was hard.
I love the movie at the end, its so good.
Well I think you are going to love this game, and you are going to love Max Payne 2 even better then this one.
So I segest get this game now beacuse it is GREAT!!!
